What would you say if you found out a half vampire half fairie hybrid existed? Impossible! Yeah, I thought the same thing.

Logan’s not your average witch. For one thing, she can’t control her magic. For another, she’s just broken a major magical law (which sucks). Now if that secret gets out she will become the hunted. Jack the Ripper’s surgical kit has been stolen and his...more

L.A. Burton gives a treat wrapped in an action packed adventure following Logan Wolf, a ghost hunting witch who helps with supernatural crimes. Things start to get crazy and personal when the fight comes to her and her friends battle Palmira. This crazy werefox queen who has her own plans to make herself more powerful. Burton surely brings great characters, plot, and dialogue to the start of this urban fantasy series. Storm of Magick is an instant ride from start to finish, a ride that you won’t...more
If you enjoy early Laurell K. Hamilton, Marjorie M. Liu, and Kim Harrison, this one's worth a try. Supernatural/paranormal investigator Logan Wolf has to investigate some odd lycanthropic activity with her hit squad, and it makes for some interesting fun. Read my whole review here.

I really wanted to like this book but the protagonist was so annoying I couldn't finish it.
Three reasons I stopped reading.
1. Men only team members who all lusted after her.
2. Powers which seemed to grow each chapter with no explanation given.
3. And I'm so tough and don't like to whine but I'm going to do it anyway.
A really great read!

This story is full of familiar elements to any fan of the supernatural, vamps, were's, a tough chica, but the story is both fresh and interesting and I can't wait for the next instalment.

One to watch (and read)!
An Anita Blake clone, it has no tension and even less world-building.
