Love isn’t something she thinks she needs…until it lands right on her doorstep.

Genevieve Boden is a witch and doesn’t care who knows. The townspeople’s fear of her keeps away those who have hurt her before—like the local men of authority. Not that it actually pertains to anything important, but I had to laugh because I read this book immediately following What I Did For a Duke by Julie Anne Long, and the hero and heroine in th...more

In Alisha Rai's latest release Cabin Fever, Genevieve has some special powers, she can read other people's auras and she can heal others. Pretty cool powers right! Well she doesn't think so. The guilt of her mother's death weighs over her and she feels as though she must live the life of solitude for her penance in her cabin in the woods of West Virginia. That is until handsome Alex is found on her porch one night half frozen to death and bleeding very badly. Not to mention he is unconscious. Ge...more

Witches, action and sex, oh my! Seriously, what more could you ask from an erotica?!

Genevieve is a witch who lives alone in the woods. She knows the townspeople fear her and she has a score to settle with the police, she likes that everyone fears her, it means that no one will bother her. That all changes when Alex comes knocking on her door with a gun shot wound and drifting in and out of consciousness. Who know's how long he's been crawling around the woods, and before a snow storm?

I loved this ebook. The heroine is full-figured and full of spunk. The hero is sexy and the dialogue intimate. The action scenes are appropriate and don't overtake the romantic elements. The humor was a welcome surprise and made the characters believable. I highly recommend this read to anyone wanting to curl up on a cold afternoon with a "hot" story.

I really liked this one. I loved the characters. They had more depth than a lot of the cookie-cutter romance I've been reading (and enjoying) lately. The plot was good, the sex was steamy, there wasn't as much angst or insecurity as I generally like with my heroines in my favored tropes (chubby, abused, plan) but I liked it on its own. (3.5 stars)

What a pleasure to find a book in this genre with well developed characters, unique story lines, unexpected plot twists, and more.

It is my first Alisha Rai read, but it will definitely not be my last. This was a well written book, and is worthy of recognition. HIGHLY recommended!

It was a very good read and was pleasantly surprised with the story. It had a "touch of magic", but wasn't what I would label as "usual type of paranormal book". The hero is an ex-NYC cop who ends up being the police chief of a tiny town in WV. The heroine is a "witch" who lives like a hermit deep in the woods away from town. I enjoyed the "instant"attraction and how their personal story unfolds. A great romance read with a bit of spice and intrigue thrown in that held my interest until the end....more
