A Texas Ranger CSI officer and a small-town sheriff must overcome their misconceptions and differences to find the killer on the loose in Comanche Creek. All the while trying to stay alive themselves and battling the escalating attraction between them...

Good book. Livvy and Reed struck sparks off each other from the very beginning. They didn't want to give in to the attraction because they didn't want to mess up the investigation. There was also the issue of someone trying to kill Livvy. The murder investigation had so many possible suspects that figuring out who was responsible was getting pretty rough. I liked the way that Livvy and Reed were able to work together to solve the mystery, and also be there for each other at the end.

Texas author, Delores Fossen, wore combat boots. Yep. During her five year assignment at RAF Lakenheath, England, this former Air Force captain often wore not only combat boots but also full chemical gear during simulated attacks. In fact, that's how she met her husband, Tom, an Air Force Top Gun. They were both in charcoal suits and gas masks, with every inch of their skin covered, and yet Tom as ...more
