Fiona Marsden
An interesting romance between a physiotherapist and a crippled paratrooper. Published in 1958 it seems to date earlier. I found the accounts of the treatments being undergone fascinating. The use of electrical charges and of course massage and heat lamps.

A very sweet story of love that grew while the heroine helped the hero to overcome the devastation of his injury and giving him the encouragement to take a chance of attempting a cure.
