"Well', she began, 'it's, it is sort of autobiographical, about my journey from being lost in a world of thoughts and desires...my obsession with men, money and chocolate, to eventually finding my heart and soul...and discovering that true happiness doesn't come from any of those things, but from being the most glorious being you can be'. Maya is a firmly stuck thirty-some...more

No entanto, quando a mã...more

Maja is a girl who is not very pleased by her own life. She wants some specific things and has some desires, but lives far away from these things. Her consolations are chocolates. In the point of the story is not Maja’s life, but it’s the way how she lives her life. It is a journey to find herself, to find her self-esteem.
In this book are councils, how to find the way to your peace and awareness of the existence.
The book is short and easy to read. But my opinion is that will be better if not...more

Engraçado dentro do estilo meio auto-ajud...more

This is a beautiful book that everyone should read - full of heart, humor and wisdom. The protagonist Maya is so human and relatable; it is easy to see yourself in her and fun to travel with her on her journey of self-discovery. Along the way there are so many inspiring, brilliant unexpected moments that will truly shift the way you look at your own life. It's a sweet, profound book that is a joy to read and to top it all off, it even has recipes so you can make Maya's sweet treats yourself. Hig...more

the book was not bad at all, but as many people here have mentioned it was more of a self-help book than a chic-lit, which was what i was expecting especially according to the title. so a little bit disappointed to be honest. the plot was also pretty boring and i felt like i was rushed into things but reallyyy slowly, if that makes any sense at all...

A great story about finally learning to listen to your heart and follow your dreams. I really enjoy books like this and this one was no exception. It probably didn't hurt that the main character owned a small business and really wanted to be a writer...two things I think about often. Fun to relate to.

I loved this book for its intention but found myself still wanting something more from it. I had a feeling that something was being withheld; I don't know what or why. That said, there are some wonderful quotes from the book; affirmations to hold tight. This was another one-sitting read for me.

I was sort of less than thrilled with this book. I kind of feel bad only giving it two stars but it just didn't grab me at all. It was too inspirational and touchy-feely and so on for my tastes, which is a shame because the title is so cute and clever! I'm sure some people would like it but it just wasn't for me.

A good read for females, reflecting life challanges (broken heart, shortage of money & weight gain), and how to live a balanced life.
I liked the quotes and positive affirmations that were included.. A good reminder to live truly.

Aconselho :D

To say I loved it would be an under-statement. Every woman should read, in fact OWN a copy of this book. It is awesome and makes you STOP and THINK about your life and how you follow your dreams.

The Plot wasn't exactly the most interesting I've ever read, but there were some very interesting thoughts that i could use in my relationship and life.
Ting Chih
an inspiring and self-reflective on relationship, self-discovery,dream-achieving with Maya
Tanja
slightly disappointing, more a sort of a self-help book than a good chick lit!
Ellen
Read it TWICE. A real gift.

This book is an amazing i adore Maya she teaches me how to love myself by listening to my heart, how struggling to get what i want and how to attempt to make my dream becomes true... Strongly recommende it to all females.. Thank you :)

Great advices, but the story was just written bad (at some points i just wanted to throw it out)...The thing i liked about was that i could see myself in Maya, and the book did inspire me.

This sweet, touching, heart-warming and wryly wise little book is a chocolate in itself!

Knížka vás donutí zamyslet se nad tím, jak žijete, zda jste šťastní, co můžete udělat proto, aby jste byli. Snad vám i pomůže milovat vaše tělo. A jak je ne jednou uvedeno: "Něšilte kvůli kaloriím, začněte šílet kvůli svému štěstí."

This is a simple but great book! Every woman should have this as required reading on her 16th Birthday!

Very good book. Easy read, and very entertaining. Especially inspiring for women going through a separation or divorce or anyone struggling with a loss.
Laura
This was more of a self help book in story form. It gives a great message but the story was not great!
Stella
I'm offended that a family member bought this for me. It was poorly written, overly simplistic. Cliche.
