I don't usually list cookbooks I read, although I read at least two a week, but this one is exceptional and deserves to be recognized. It's a compilation of a bunch of famous authors including my most favorite-Elizabeth Berg--as well as others like David Baldacci, Chelsea Cain and John Saul, all of whom I have all their books, with something about them, what they've written and a favorite recipe of theirs. Some of the authors I'm not familiar with, but after reading their bios, I now have a list ...more
I loved this cookbook - got quite a few recipes that I loved and still use!!! Glad that the authors added their personal notes about why they submitted their recipes and where the recipes came from -- it really sold me on using some of the recipes I wouldn't have used otherwise and some of the authors surprised me with their choices!! Good cookbook to get if you want to use it for book club use.
Compiled by the King County Library System, this is a fun look at a different side of authors: what they like to cook. Each entry has a bio on the author, then a recipe that s/he enjoys making or eating. I'll pass on the Spam recipe, but there are several others that I'll try.
