Precious Ramotswe is a clever, kind hearted and large African lady. She was loved by her father but his work destroyed his health and he told her before he died that he wanted her to have her own business. Then after thinking she said to her father that she will start a detective agency and she did it and became the only lady private detective in Botswana. loved it. so fun... started on volume 3 as I couldn't get a hold of volume 2.

I liked this book well enough. The main character was delightful, and fun, and sounded like a woman I would like to know more about. But, I also felt like just about everything there was to know about this woman was in this book, so I'm not sure how a series can be sustained.

This book read more like short stories than a regular novel. Not that there's anything wrong with short stories, but for some reason this genre hasn't grabbed my soul like the novel has. I don't know if I'll read anymore in
