These are the stories of gifted women in Lancaster Conference . . . women with leadership gifts, dedicated to the work of the church but denied the opportunities of their male counterparts. Some of the stories of perseverance and accomplishment in spite of the indignities suffered by the church patriarchs will amaze you and grieve you, too.
