Librarians take note: in the field of humorous mix-genre zombie books here's one that finally has a place in a public collection. There's little story, but lots of kind-of gross illustrations and a high interaction quotient as each page in this book is a scene and corresponds to a button that when pushed plays one of many zombie ‘drone’ sounds. This book is sure to engage readers because it is so interaction based. It's not aimed at children, but the illustrations are much vaguer when it comes t More...

Steve Mockus writes a fun book! I've never read anything by him before. (not that I'm award of anyway). The sounds were hilarious, and great to scare my costumers at work(book store). If your a Zombie lover, who's in the mood for a laugh, this is the book for you! It's not very long, being 12 hardback pages, but I found it quite enjoyable. I love anything zombie, and would recommend this for a gift for sure. Grab a copy for yourself for this Halloween as well, it's worth the laugh!

fun book for read-alouds, has an electrical component that teaches the pronumciation of the zombie speech. art is quite grotesque, maybe too much for third graders and below but I think middle grades would enjoy, especially hearing the pronunciations. I found the pages on traffic jams and dance parties especially funny and found my cursing seems to mirror that of my zombie brethren.

This was my son's choice at his school's book fair...an it is actually a pretty hilarious book. Comes with an attached sound module so you can "tune your ear to zombie speech patterns" and breaks key phrases down into situations you might be in when the zombie apocalypse happens.

We especially got a kick out of the Coffee Shop section...guess Zombies need caffeine too huh.

Check it out from your local library (if they don't own it, your library needs help with developing its collection). Worth five or more stars for being able to call your friends and play "braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnsssssss" over the phone to them, and the ensuing confusion and hilarity.

A dear friend found this at a bookstore and picked it up for me knowing my love of all things zombie. It's got buttons with zombie sounds, so you can try your hand at learning zombie. And of course, my 18-month-old son LOVES it! He thinks the noises are funny.

My Friend Kelly bought this book for my 6 year old. Very informative on the subject of communicating with the undead. Has buttons to push to hear the zombies speak their language. Beats taking a course at community college. Enjoy!

how much fun is this book? the person who gave it to me for Christmas last year almost killed the batteries because she kept pushing the buttons, after she wrapped it.

How to speak Zombie with sound effects. Had this one out on the Scholastic Bookfair. Learned to speak zombie in less that a week.

Some mildly amusing social satire. I felt like the sound effects were overdone.

Received this as a gift and wasn't disappointed! Pictures and zombie sounds are hilarious and always a conversation starter. Would recommend to any zombie aficionado, or anyone who just wants a laugh.
