I have read the first book in this series, although I didn't actually remember it when I bought it/started it. It came back to me a little though, as I read this one. Basically it is the premise I love; school girls solving mystery, being bad, working hard at sports and work. There is a sad note when an animal is killed though, that was kind of a downer in an otherwise good children's book. Odd, but I still expected it to come back to life by the end of the book!
