This novel was laugh out loud funny and contained thoughtful insights about marriage. Poppy’s journey is both amusing and heartfelt. Cute; very, very cute. Would definitely make a funny chick-flick. Poppy and Parker, both as characters, have this... innocence to them. They're so oblivious and that's what makes this book so humorous! I was turning pages with excitement, couldn't wait to finish this paragraph to get to the next. The dialogue is simply adorable, it really is, and Poppy's mother is a laugh.

Really fun book with a great concept; Poppy catches her husband, Parker having an affair with a glamorous dark-haired co-worker, Sienna, and moments later the two cheaters are struck by lightning! Parker all of a sudden can't remember anything of the last few months, but Poppy certainly cannot forget his mistress and spends the next two months transforming herself into the raven-haired, fake-nail wearing, spray-tanned vixen. Fantastic book couldn`t put it down. At first, I though what an asshole for cheating on Poppy. Then when Poppy started changing herself to try to save her marriage I thought she was a dumbass. It made me so mad, So of course I loved it. For awhile there however, I was team Colin and then No team Parker. Fast fun read with many emotions with a great message in the end. Communicate in your relationship.
I'd never heard of this author before but I read the back and the book sounded cute and it really was. I enjoyed it and am going to read her other book :)
1-1/2 stars. I liked Stuck in Downward Dog, but this book was a total disappointment. The premise sounded clever, but neither plot nor characters turned out to be interesting. And all those references to name brand everything ... yawn!

I finished this book in about 24 hours and loved every minute of it. Poppy is hilarious and reading about her escapades to try to keep her husband was totally enjoyable. She basically tries to reinvent herself from classy New York chic to Snooki.

Same romance novel as countless other books with a lightening strike added to draw attention to purchase. My first book from this writer and would not buy again.

it was a quick read. but it didn't really give me anything that would ever make me think about the characters again. Which is OK. not every book is meant to do that! for what it was, I had a good time while reading it. And that's that.
