C'est le quatrième volume de la saga (ou le sixième volume) en total et je vais en profité pour discuter de la place des femmes dans la saga et du personnage de Ciri en particulier.
Je crois que l'auteur fais un effort louable pour donné une bonne place aux femmes et les magiciennes ont des personnalités variées et peuvent être en contrôle de leur vie amoureuse. Mais je ferai quand même remarquer que le 'méchant' est un puissant magicien mâle et que l'autre protagoniste est l'empereur de Nilfgaar...more

Також відомий як том, в якому взагалі ніхуя не відбувається: суцільні відгалудження, які не тримаються купи, про якихось героїв, що їх бачиш уперше. Це - вже не перехід від історії про персонажа до історії континенту (що цілком ефективно робилося в перших томах), це вже каша.

Книгите винаги стават най-интересни накрая и тази е прекрасен пример. Принципно, като фен на поредицата и в частност на Гералт, бях направо разочарована когато започнах шестата част. Развитието на историята и без това беше станало ужасно бавно, но и тази книга се очертаваше да бъде поредната част, в която ще гонят Цири без да я намерят. Все пак има още две книги след нея, с какво ще ги напълнят, ако се осъществи така мечтаното събиране на Цири и Гералт.

Like a few other books in the series this one does not -quite- have that much Geralt in it. There is a heavy focus on Ciri and her progress towards her destiny, which has not been revealed thus far.
In particular I liked the artistic style chosen for the story telling. It is a seamlessly interwoven mix of cutbacks and third-person narratives - it was pulled off that well by the author I had to stop a moment at times to realiz...more

The penultimate book in the Saga of Geralt of Rivia. Another great Spanish translation by José María Faraldo. I particularly enjoyed this one because Sapkowski takes the narration places it hasn't been yet in the books. At any given chapter you may be reading the same events from the perspective of a different character...sometimes before the fact, sometimes during, and sometimes after, and not always in that order. I really like Sapkowski's writing style and all the references he's throwing in from real life. I'm looking forward to the next book about Geralt, Ciri and the others, for example how Yennefer will get away from Vilgefortz and how Ciri will use her power.
Gefällt mir weiterhin sehr gut, auch wenn es gegen Ende (so kam es mir zumindest vor) etwas zu viele Sprünge gab, und zwar nicht nur bei Schauplätzen sondern auch in der Zeit. Und nur einige haben sich gegen Ende geklährt.
Aber langweilig ist es nicht geworden und man möchte auf jeden Fall wissen wie es weiter geht...

Lively, original characters and setting. However, the story wasn't as thrilling as in the earlier books.
Czwarta część sagi i co mnie bardzo zdziwiło - praktycznie nic z wydarzeń w tej części opisanych nie pamiętałem! Kilka pojedynczych scen, owszem - druidzi, palce Rienca, królowa Zuleyka... może jeszcze kilka, ale niezbyt dużo. Miało to w sobie urok ponownego odkrywania opowieści...
jest to także chyba najbardziej mroczna część z całej sagi - ewidentnie brakuje tu wstawek typowo komediowych, za to dostajemy całą gamę fatalistycznych, cierpiętniczych wręcz opisów i przepowiedni... No i z tego co p...more
