Rane Arroyo's work is funny, quirky and touching. It lacks the pretentiousness of some University poets who try too hard to be deep. Not to say Arroyo is not meaningful. I wouldn't have expected to enjoy the work of someone so different than myself, which speaks even more to his talent.
