A colleague recently asked if there were any books I modeled my own "United States of Americana" on, and I wanted to give credit where credit it due. Although the subject matter is very different, this fun-filled book, which has been a favorite of mine since I was a small lad and still gets pulled off the shelves frequently, condenses a great deal of information into a breezy yet bright read suitable for kids of all ages.
