Storyline:
Oh Ms. Trish Lamoree: gimmie more-ee! Never Smile at a Crocodile has a quirky title, interesting characters and more than one surprising twist.
This is the second book in a fantasy/romance/thriller trilogy set in present day Las Vegas. For nearly 2 years I lived in Las Vegas and am now always hyper-critical of movies, shows (I’m looking at you, CSI: Las Vegas!) and stories set in the area and Ms. Lamoree’s depiction of the entire town is just spot-on.

Having read this author's wonderful romantic suspense, Painting the Roses Red, I wasn't prepared for the unique formula Ms. Lamoree used in 'Crocodile. The humor was smart, the description she used in the book was like art on a canvas. The relationships in the book made you want to go hang out with these characters. This book was complete brain candy, and from a literary perspective does not have much to offer. However, I found it really enjoyable and once I got into it, I finished it quickly.

High point: Good flow

Low points: Magical powers coming to save the day when needed, and inexplicably incapable when it would suit the plot to be more difficult for the protagonists.
