I would have given this book a 4* except the main female Jessie was annoying in her attitude towards Michael's wealth.
Okay so Jessie was brought up poor and was propositioned by a wealthy tycoon when she was younger and not in a good way. So now she despises all wealthy men and treats them with disdain. She has no interest when informed how Michael uses his wealth to help millions of people. Why should she after all he still has millions more?
Michael is a vampire hunter, strong, gorgeous and pro
This book was a good debut effort; the premise is quite unique, but I felt there was a bit too much exposition, which was stifling at times. Sometimes the dialogue can just say it all. Also the fact that two people could fall so passionately in love in a matter of a few days just wasn't as convincing as it might have been. (I'm not claiming that this isn't possible though!)

The Vampire Affair is by no means a bad or boring story, it simply doesn't live up to the potential you can feel on the page. If this were a single title (with a large word count) I think it could be a more engaging and intricate story. As a category story, however, the word count limits seemed to restrain what could be a truly fantastic paranormal romance.

It was a quick read. Faster than I would have liked, but then we can't get everything our own way, all the time can we.

I liked the story, but then these types of books don't really have that much of a story or a plot line. But it was a good book to pass the time and distract me from A Game of Thrones. For the brief time it took to read

I am not a book snob, but I am pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this Silhouette novel. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 main characters, Michael and Jesse as well as the direction Ms. Reasoner took with their relationship. I look forward to the next book in this series!

I think for a first try into paranormal Livia Reasoner did a fine job. I think there was a bit to much into monologing but i think most of it was necessary to see what was going on. I can't wait to ssee her next work in this area as it can only improve.

Nice and spicy paranormal trashy romance. It does have one very detailed love fest that makes it worthy cracking open the pages. A definite must for trashy romance junkies. =)
