This gives you a nice feeling for what Glasgow must have been like back in the 1920s and '30s. Unfortunately, Piers Dudgeon is a very sloppy writer, and the sections where he's not quoting people left me bewildered and frustrated by the obvious lack of editing. I'd like to read a better-written, more comprehensive text on the subject. Any suggestions?
