The short stories and thoughts in "Rhyme or Treason" are like a maze. The paths will you lead you through time, philosophies, Jack in the Box, politics, the constitution, the seven dwarves hut, religion and your job resume. One must keep reading no matter how much the mounting absurdness, no matter if you run out of tissue because you can't decide if you want to cry, laugh, (or shoot yourself)... so your nose leaks in indecision.
