Inez Urso is beginning to have her doubts. Her business associate Thomas Argeneau has some interesting traits, like an allergic reaction to the sun, excellent night vision, and not much of an appetite for food. And to top it all off, he just tried to bite her neck . . . but maybe that was a sign of passion. If so, she'd be happy to experience more, despite her determinatio...more

~VAMPIRES ARE FOREVER... ON THE PHONE~
This is another instalment in the Argeneau vampire series with Thomas Argeneau as our hero this time. He's one of the younger immortals (at 200 years old) and when his aunt Marguerite goes missing Thomas is the only one in the family able to go to London and find her. Meeting him at the airport is Inez a corporate type from the family's U.K Company. She's been teame...more

The next book in Lynsay Sands "Vampire" Argeneau Series (Book 8). This is a very good book! It only has 3 stars as compared with the last one she wrote (which was VERY funny). This book is very funny at the beginning, but as the story treks on, not so much. Most of Ms. Sands "vampire" books do not have much plot, and this is one of them. However, like all of her books this is a fun and fast read. This book's hero is Thomas, cousin of Marguerite’s children. It is nice to finally read his story, a...more

My local library is running a class aimed at teaching kids they cannot pick a book by its cover—but isn’t that what we all do? I found some dozen paperbacks added to the bookcase in the upstairs hall at the beach house, and this was one of four that I elected to take to read, but I almost skipped this one, as its cover shows a lurid picture of two nearly naked people huddled in a hug, with the male having a tattoo showing a bat superimposed over the moon, while the lady in his arms, wearing a sl...more

Inez Urso has worked for the Argeneau's for a long time. She is up for a management position. She travelled to America to get the official "talk" that would have explained that her employers are vampires. But things go wrong and she ends up going home to Europe without being told the truth. Then she is asked to meet Thomas Argeneau at the airport and help him while he is in town. A comedy of errors, Inez is tired from being roused from too little sleep to start this last minute assignment, and T...more

Like always, Sands writes them light and passionate, and I really like it. It's a great formula because I can just sit down with the book and read and read. They are relaxing.

And this might be my favorite to date. I do not what made it so, perhaps it was Thomas, a nice hottie. Or perhaps it was Inez, a curvy woman who lives for her job. Together they were perfect. As always the passion is sizzling between these too and what is there not to like when Thomas bites her a bit too quickly and finds o...more

If you are looking for some light, fun reading, then this is the book for you. However, space the books in this series out because reading them right after each other can become tedious.

I enjoy the characters in these series so much, but the storylines are just so weak. The dialog between Thomas and Inez is witty and entertaining, so why can't their story be the same? The author was trying to weave a "mystery" into what are basically light-hearted vampire romances. Stick to the romance because t...more

Another story of the Argeneau family. This time it is Thomas as he goes on a trip to find his missing aunt, Marguerite. Inez, a mortal working for Argeneau Enterprises was called to meet Thomas at the airport and assist him with his investigation, but when Thomas blows past Inez at the airport, her temper gets the best of her and off she goes to give Thomas a piece of her mind.
Thomas proves to be charming and considerate and Inez reconsiders her opinion, until he bites her!
That was one way to...more

Argeneau isn't my favorite series, but I've only read two books so far. #1/#8 <--- very out of character for me, I know. Three words: Year End Challenges. But, I did enjoy this one better than the first. Maybe b/c I read it vs. listened to the audiobook [didn't like the narrator]. Either way, it was about 3.5 stars for me, but I rounded up to 4.

Vampires Are Forever is the HEA of Thomas and Inez. Thomas is one of the Argeneau babes, just over 200 years old. He's sent to Europe to find Aunt Mar...more

Wow book eight! Vampires really are forever!

When Argeneau matriarch Marguerite goes missing in London while on one of the first cases in her new private detective career, all the responsible Argeneau's are unable to break away to go hunt for her. So it is up to 'young' cousin Thomas, the surfer-talking prankster of the previous books, to step up and show the others that he can be trusted to handle the important search. When the very efficient workaholic V.P of Argenau Enterprises London branch,...more

This 8th book in Sands' Argeneau series features Thomas (a favorite secondary character from several previous books) and Inez, an employee of Bastien's (main character from previous book), who doesn't know anything about the immortals. The romance, action, funny dialog, and family interaction is 4 to 5 stars. Yet, this book is just one huge set up for the next book. For several books now, the disappearance of Marguerite (mother to the Argeneau clan) has been hinted at repeatedly. This book opens...more

Thomas has been in several books of the series as the slacker cousin, just a baby compared to his cousins and uncles. He has much more depth than most people know. In this book Thomas is sent to track down Aunt Margarete who has been out of contact with her family while on a PI job in Europe. Everyone is getting worried because she has missed the birth of her new grandchild--totally out of character for her. Sent to help Thomas is Inez--a vp of Ageneau Company. Inez knows her way around London a...more

Title: Vampires are Forever
Series: Argeneau #8
Author: Lynsay Sands
Rating: 3.5

“I'd rather lose her from my life, but know she was alive and well than lose her altogether to death.”

When Marguerite doesn't contact her family for a few days, they begin to worry. Marguerite went on her first private detective case in london to try and find out who Christians mother is, however it is very unlike her not to check in on her family especially since her daughter is abo...more

I have enjoyed all of the Lynsay's Sands books they are fast paced, humorous, enjoyable, and a fun read. If you are looking for vampiric angst, dark fantasy or shocking horror you won’t find it here but this light-hearted romance. The Argeneau vampires are not traditional vampires, they call themselves Immortals and the only traits that they share with vampires are longevity, strength, mind control abilities and a hunger for blood. They are not undead, they can go out in the day, eat garlic, have...more

I wanted to like this book - I really did. Perhaps I was looking forward to it too much, and the anticipation did not live up to the reality. Perhaps it was because this was my first read in the Argeneau vampire series. Regardless, I was let down by this book.

The story follows Thomas and Inez as they search for Thomas's aunt Margarite, an immortal who has gone missing. In the first half of the novel, when Thomas and Inez meet and get to know each other, the writing is good and the storyline tig...more

I finished this book in 11 hours. It was like candy for me, I couldn't stop reading it. I didn't think anything could be as good as the previous book but this one came close. I love Thomas and he has been in pretty much every book as a secondary character. It was so nice to see him get his own storyline, and a juicy one at that! Great chemistry between him and Inez and her discovering what he and her boss and pretty much everyone she works with really are was interesting. I am intrigued by the M...more

Vampires Are Forever is an entertaining story and a great romance. Lynsay Sands blends mystery, danger, humorous dialog, and romance into a page turning read. Inez is a strong, self-reliant woman that sparks off entertaining situations between Thomas and her that will have you chuckling with delight. Thomas is awe-struck with his newly discovered lifemate and makes his plans to woo her over into his life and family. This couple fit together so well in the plot as it unfolded into an even bigger...more

For my reaction to this series, see my review of A Quick Bite. Although not the same, it's similar enough, or causes a similar enough reaction in me for one to serve for both. That's not to say these two novels are exactly formulaic; I think that anyone who reads the one will enjoy the other without ever having the here-we-go-again feeling rearing its ugly head.

In fact, I liked it and it's series mate enough that I may well go in search of the remainder of the series—very unusual for me and roma...more

Okay I certainly liked this one more than the last one.

I noticed the repative writing a bit more than usual in this one, and at one point I was totally grossed out.

Inez and Thomas both end up in a river in York. (Won't say how to avoid spoiler)
Instead of showering/bathing Inez just gets a clean shirt to put on.
Inez gets honey spilled all over her.
Thomas decides to clean off the honey (you can figure out how)

Excuse me?

I live in England. There is no way in hell that after falling in the toxic wate...more

Out of the Argeneau series this one is my absolute favorite. Thomas Argeneau falls for the human, Inez Urso who works for his cousin, Bastien Argeneau. Thomas and Inez are searching for his aunt, Marguerite Argeneau who has gone missing and they travel as far as Amsterdam in their search. Along the way they learn more about each other and Inez warms up to being Thomas's lifemate.

The most appealing characteristic of this book had to be the humor, from start to finish I simply could not stop laug...more

This is book 8 in the Argeneau series.

Thomas Argeneau goes to London to look for his Aunt Marguerite who has disappeared. She has just found herself a job as a private detective and has gone off in search of the mother of a client.

Bastian has asked Inez Urso to help Thomas with his quest - she is vice president of Argeneau Enterprises London Office. When Inez first meets Thomas she finds him arrogant but that does not last long as he convinces her pretty quickly that she is his lifemate - she is...more

Marquerite went on to search for Chris Notte's mother back in A Bite to Remember and in this book she has come up missing. Thomas is sent to find her and is hooked up with Inez an employee of Argeneau Enterprises to help him find his way around the city.

The book trails them searching for Maruerite and in the mean time falling in love and Inez finding out the truth about Thomas and her employers.

It was so lack luster to me. That could be because I was so looking forward to Thomas' story.

I won't...more

On the past books Thomas is a quirky, funny character that slips into a different persona to annoy his much older cousins. Yo Dude! This book shows more about who Thomas really is and what his true passions are which come as a surprise. There is much more to him than even most of his family knows. It was nice to see all his layers pulled back and his family accepting him for who he is. Inez also discovers he is much more also. Nobody gave him the credit he deserved. The most disappointing part o...more

I found this book a little tedious, but continued reading to find out what happened to his Aunt. Unfortunately, the book never explained it. UGH. I enjoyed the idea of life mates. If only??
I also liked the characters, although I would have liked it more if Thomas was a little more controlling. Why the hell would he allow her to be used as bait. I have a hard time believing he would have let her. Loved Inez. She was strong and not the perfect looking female I usually read about. I do not think I...more

Just starting this one, but hooray for Thomas--it's finally his turn. It's kinda odd, though, that all these immortals are finding life mates in this short period of time, isn't it?
Actually finished this a few days after starting it, but forgot to update here. Oops.
Anyway, this one is pretty exciting--more action than usual. What the heck is up with Marguerite? And this story was a little scary. I wanted to kill Bastien & Etienne--and Terri & Rachel too. Seriously, I hate them. Rachel h...more

Another wonderful read. These books are so much fun. I can see why there are so many in the series :). How can Lysany not keep writing them ;).
Marguerite and Tiny have not called in from Europe for three days and Lissiana has had her baby so this is very troubling to the Argeneau family. Bastien sends Thomas to London in search of Marguerite. He sets up Inez a VP for Argeneau to pick Thomas up at the airport and help him around London.
What transpires is full of fun as well as mystery and action...more

This was the story I couldn't wait for...from the time he showed up at Lissianna's b-day party in his Spiderman pjs, to his tricking Rachel into drinking the Sweet Ecstasy (glad to see he got his comeuppance for that trick) to ignoring his Uncle Lucian in his time of need. Thomas was always a mysterious character in the background and I wanted to see him as a central character in one of Lynsay's books.

This was a great twist on the continually running lifemate plot, and I particularly enjoyed see...more

I was so excited to read Thomas's story, I've been waiting since I read book one !!!

I loved how Thomas and Inez was introduced together. I loved Inez's personality straight away, I also liked how Thomas was actually fun and a serious person at the same time. u enjoyed reading how he went out of his way to make others feel better.

I like how the family stuck together in their search but I really liked how Thomas had his priorities.

loved how the story played out and thought it was put together nice...more

I loved this book as well. It has some twists to it that keep you on edge, and rooting for things to go a certain way. It makes you feel like you are living in there with them. I felt my heart start to beat faster with each of theirs as if we were one person. I really enjoyed the battles and the romance equally. I am not one big on battle, but when they are put in these texts I would love to be wrapped up in them. I could feel each touch, hear each sound, and thought each thought as if they were...more
