Even better than the first one!

I loved the the twists and turns that kept me guessing! And while some things I was able to figure out, there were still others that surprised me. The characters were perfect, because they weren't! The true to life struggles that came to light was very authentic. It was hinted at twice that Ethan and Marianna had news to share...but I don't thing it was shared...unless I missed it. Maybe in the next book! I haven't reasons of Lynette Season's books that I didn't lo

Another exciting read in the High Stakes series. Enjoyed the Santino family again, but really loved that this was Joseph's story. Good clean thriller romance with great characters.

Not her best book

This story was very predictable. I did like the signing aspect that gave me a renewed appreciation for the deaf.

Another great suspense by Eason! Gives you hints throughout the book but still leaves you unsure until the culprit is revealed. I look forward to reading the others in this series.

This book has so many twists and turns I coo never guess who was guilty of anything hi it was revealed. I read into the midnight hour many times. Cannot wait to start another book by Lynette Eason.

Trouble again surrounds Palmetto deaf School - this time 1 girl is dead & 1 is missing. What's the connection between the girls, Palmetto Deaf School, the baseball team at neighbouring Esterman High, & the spate of gang burglaries that have recently started? That's what FBI Agent Joseph Santino & homicide Detective Catelyn Clark who have been partnered together on this case need to find out - & quickly, because time is running out for missing girl, Kelly Franklin.

That's not all J

I read the first one in the series and it was 'eh', but I decided to give the second one a was also 'eh' worthy.

2 stars for A Silent Fury

Another incident at Palmetto Deaf School, this time one student is dead and another is missing. Homicide detective Catelyn Clark is on the case, and soon to be paired up with her ex flame FBI agent Joseph Santino. (What is with Love Inspired's and rekindling old flames?)

Let it be known that I have a biased view on books that involve old flames. You h

Book 2

Ii have read several of Lynette Eason's books. I've read the first book in this series, along with the two non-series, but related, books that follow this and thought they were absolutely wonderful. I couldn't wait to get the over-protective brother's story and see how their marriage happened.

But I was so very disappointed! I did NOT like Catelyn! She was so whiney and so...Ewwww.....What really made me mad is how she got so mad when the man who loves her jumps in front of her

Love Lynette Eason! Her suspense is always edge-of-the-seat, nail-biting good. A Silent Fury takes her readers back to the Palmetto Deaf School where one of their students has been found murdered. Homicide detective Caitlyn Clark heads up the investigation, made even more urgent by the disappearance of a second deaf girl. The apparent kidnapping brings FBI agent Joseph Santino onto the case. That's ex-boyfriend Joseph Santino and Caitlyn has to work with him. Can they concentrate on the case whe ...more

CaLynette has a flair for writing suspense and romance in a clever way. I could feel Catelyn's fear and misunderstanding of Joseph's feelings as they work through a working relationship first after a personal breakup. It is clear that some of her own parents issues are plaguing her with doubt. Having an older mother myself, it was soothing to see her mother recognize some of her own past failures and share those feelings with her. A good read including showing that teachers and coaches are fall ...more

This line of simple, clean books from Steeple Hill have several things in common: a romance, a mystery and a Christian message. Because they are short and easy to read, none of these elements are usually developed very fully and I'm prepared for that.

However, in this case, the mystery was quite far-fetched while the romance and Christian message was fairly understated. Made for a pretty weak story. Just Ok.

Good story, horrible editing.

I liked this story and the characters. It had great flow, except for the continuity errors and several typos. That is why I gave this story only three stars. If this is a re-issue, which the trailer seemed to indicate, why were there such glaring errors? However, I was able to read past them and mostly enjoy the book.

Once I got started, I HAD to finish! I had a suspicion I knew who was behind it and I was right! Though at certain points, I wondered if I was right or of it was a red herring. Good read
