Blake Coleman is old enough to know that acting on impulse causes nothing but a heap of trouble. But when trouble’s a blonde wearing a cowboy hat with slim legs that go on forever, what’s a man to do? Wanting the sweet girl next door is just wrong. Hell, he was the one that taught her to ride a horse and now all he can think about is riding her. The responsible thing to do ...more

Blake Coleman:

And, the cowgirl, Jaxi:

Rocky Mountain Heat is my first Vivian Arend book. This author did not disappoint, Set in the Canadian Rockies, Ms. Arend delivers a book that sexy, tender, full of family and also full of surprises. I bought this book on a whim. Well, my purchase on a whim payed off this time. I loved this book!

Blake Coleman is the oldest of six boisterous brothers in the Coleman clan. He is patient, he works hard, he is often

photo Hello_zps111a4429.gif Update to my review March 12, 2013. I received additional information from the author about my review. Apparently I read an old version of this book and not the updated version (updated in 2012). According to Vivian some of the things i had issues with were changed. So please keep that in mind when you are reading my review.

I could not really get into this book, even though i knew it would be a light steamy read it just fell flat. I couldn't get into the hero Blake, and I really couldn't get i

It would have been 4 stars, but I seriously can't stand and tolerate the main heroine!!! She basically ruined the whole book for me! Don't get me wrong, this book is hot hot!!!!

But.... I want to murder this chick! She can go on and on how Blake was her one and true love since they met, but she was basically brothers "groupie" that DID NOT PUT OUT!

Sorry, but dating the other brother because he looks like Blake and because she thought she has no chance with Blake is just wrong. An

I recommend this book to those of you who love Lorelei James.

I loved this short but very steamy read right from the beginning.

This series centers around 6 hunky brothers, hence the name of the series 6 pack Ranch.

This is the first book in the series that centers around the oldest brother Blake. Blake has had a thing for Jaxi for quite some time but he's kept away from her because he is 10 years o
3 stars.

Not amazing but not bad. The writing was at times a little corny and some events in the story oddly bordered on incestuous. The sexy times were totally freaking hot though... felt like I needed Karla's SM fan.

Not enough to keep me completely riveted, and that fact - plus Law Man's release - had me skimming towards the end.
Wonder why the Coleman's ranch called "Six Pack Ranch"?

It because they have 6 six pack HAWT cowboys :))(the image show just 4 hotties, hmm, never mind *waves hand*)

The story is about Jaxi, she is the closest friend of Coleman boys (there are 6 of them, Blake, Matt, Daniel, Travis, and the twins, Jesse and Joel). Jaxi dating Travis when she was 18 , but deep in her heart, she always want Blake, the oldest son, from the beginning. The problem was, Blake 10 years older than her, and he always threat

Oh La La La!

She flashed him a gorgeous smile. "I told you I've loved you forever."

Jaxi was my favorite in this book. Sweet, sexy and a very determined heroine. She's been in love with Blake since she was a kid. She grew up on the neighborhood of Coleman and was close to age with the youngest twin Joel & Jesse. On her teenage years she dated Travis Coleman but it doesn't last long. She takes classes to be fit to become a rancher's wife. And after 2 years she's on another plan. An
3 1/2 stars (rounded down to 3 stars, because the second half of the story dragged a bit and lost focus, wandering through several secondary characters' shenanigans while Blake and Jaxi played the dating game)

Note: This book contains a ménage scene featuring Blake's brother Matt, his (Matt's) girlfriend Helen and their (Blake and Matt's) cousin Gabe. That had nothing to do with the story - in fact, neither Blake nor Jaxi even heard about it - so I'm still wondering what the point was. If it was

This book was just perfect. One beautiful book with the most satisfying end. It warmed me from the inside and left me smiling. I couldn't actually fall asleep after I finished it,because I was thinking about the nice moments and how much I liked it.

We have Blake the sexy cowboy and Jaxi with her soft heart, and wonderful personalty. The hot scenes were hot. This was one of these books where everything happens the way you want it to without sounding too easy

This is an honest review. You've been warned.

Rocky Mountain Heat is the first in the Six Pack Ranch series. I read this book because of a strong recommendation from Pearl at Pearl’s World Of Romance and I have to admit, Pearl knows a good cowboy romance when she reads one. Cowboy romances have never really been my thing but I’ve found lately that I’m drawn to them more and more.

Jaxi and Blake have known each other since Jaxi was a little girl. Blake being 10 years older than her, has always played the big brother to Jaxi, teaching her how
First off ~ Hello, beautiful drool-worthy cover. Where have you been all my life? **Fans self.** The down fall to owning a kindle and reading from it is that you miss all the fantasmic covers that are out there. And this is definitely one of them. **Wipes drool off chin.

Okay, now that I've somewhat contained my raging ovaries, I'll try to put on my big girl panties long enough to write a review.

I won Rocky Mountain Heat in a giveaway and I will be buying the rest of this series. Thank you to t

Blake Coleman is fighting the same thing that he has been fighting for the past few years, his attraction to Jaxi. The girl who has literally grown up on his land and getting into the same scrapes as his all too ornery brothers. Something as changed now however – Jaxi is under his roof and she is playing a whole new ballgame and he is not sure he likes the rules, that is if he even knows what the rules are.

Jaxi the girl from the next ranch over to the Coleman's has always known what sh

Rocky Mountain Heat by Vivian Arend was such a treat! It was a hot, erotic novel with great characters and a captivating storyline. And to be honest, six sexy cowboys were a nice change of pace from vampires, werewolves, and all things paranormal.

While this novel showcased all of the Six Pack brothers, this story focused primarily on Jaxi and Blake’s relationship. Jaxi and Blake grew up next door to one another. They have loved one

IF YOU'VE READ THIS BEFORE, THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL VERSION, this is an expanded version now published by Samhain, and it has even more of the sexy Coleman siblings in it. I read the first version a year ago and LOVED it, I LOVE this one even more.

I FELL in LOVE with the Six Pack Ranch series, August 17, 2010 (I looked the date up on my kindle). I saw there was a second novella, Rocky Mountain Haven and bought it right away. A couple of weeks later a friend told me she went to get the 1st book

Rocky Mountain Heat is the first book from the Six Pack Ranch series. A good book with sexy cowboys and hot sex.

Blake Coleman is the oldest out of 6 Coleman brothers and wants to act like one when he thinks of sweet Jaxi his sexy neighbour, with blonde hair and long legs that goes forever. But Jaxi has other plans for him and when she ends up living right under his nose she will do everything possible to make Blake see her her for wot she is a grown up woman not his little sister. I want to give a Big Thank you to Mariann at Belle's Book Bag for having this series on her blog. I enjoyed and loved reading Rocky Mountain Heat that I had to buy the second book ASAP. Vivian Arend knows how to write about love, friendship with a sexy alpha male cowboy.

Right away I adored Blake in the prologue. Jaxi is dating his younger brother Travis and he is a snot nose brat to her. While they are away at a rodeo she gets sick but Travis rather stay and party with his friends. Blake is swe

There were a lot of things that really bugged me about the heroine in this one. I liked how hard she worked and how willing she was to help out, but the way she cycled through the brothers really icked me out. It was too Legends of the Fall-ish for my liking. All the in fighting between the brothers over Jaxi was disturbing.

And the scene at the bar when she let the twins grope her and get her off right in front of Blake to try and jumpstart his possessive instincts--just no. I lost a lot of res

This was a great start to a series. I loved how Jaxi knew what she wanted and went after it. I also loved how Blake's father, Mike, knew all about Jaxi's feelings but never really came out blunt and told him about it. And I thought it was sweet and smart for Blake to insist that he "woo" Jaxi.

I also liked the secondary story lines. I liked getting to know the other brothers a little bit before we actually learn their stories. Kinda fun, too, to meet the cousins.

So this was sweet, sexy, and sat

Rocky Mountain Heat by Vivian Agenda is a cool story. I really enjoyed it. This is a modern day western type book. A family of six brothers and the girl next door. She's a tomboy and a real spitfire. Her name is Jaxi and she's loved the oldest brother Blake practically her entire life. As she becomes a beautiful teenager, Blake is infatuated with her but thinks he's too old so he treats her like a little sister. She eventually dated his brother Travis. There were at an animal round up and Jaxi w ...more
I'm super excited to be starting this series back at the beginning. For the record, starting with the 7th book (which I did) wasn't confusing in the slightest, but it's AWESOME to know I have the chance to see ALL these Coleman boys find their ladies and fall head over heels for them.

Or, as is the case with Blake, find her and come to the realization that he can't stand the thought of anyone else touching her despite their age difference. Yep, Blake was a little hung up on their ages. I did love
This was good for a short erotic read. The story is very simple, the heroine is virgin and perfect, nothing remarkable, but I liked the author's voice and would give it another try.
HERO is a Leader, the oldest of 6 brothers, who's been attracted for a long time to the girl from the ranch next door but relunctant to act on it since he's 10 years older than her.

This was a quick and spicy read. I enjoyed it. My only gripe was that this book was to focus on Blake and Jaxi, but for some reason half of the book was about Matt and Helen. I guess I don't get that because Matt gets a book for his story...I mean I see where the scene is set for his book, but I think they played a bigger part of this book then need be. I felt we could of learned more about Blake and Jaxi.

I read the re-released version which from quickly scanning through some reviews looks to be better than the original version.

I did have a few niggles and the main one was how Jaxi finally convinced Blake to make his move! I think the flirting with his brothers to make Blake jealous went a bit too far especially when she allowed one of the brothers to put his hand up her dress!
So this was an enjoyable, quick read! I really enjoyed Jaxi and Blake, although the side plot with Matt/Helen was not something I particularly cared about. Since the book was short, I would have preferred more with Jaxi/Blake. Especially since (view spoiler)

Anyway, grew up as family,
oh my goodness this was one hot coockie..and sweet... I love books that both make me go aaawww and then a few page later nearly blushing and making sure no one is reading over my shoulder :-)

This was good! Blake & Jaxi's story was funny at times as she tried to get him to notice her & he always tried to stay away feeling the lecherous older man. Blake was 10 yrs older than Jaxi but couldn't get her out of his mind. Jaxi decided at an early age that Blake was the man for her & she was keeping at it until she got him. An accident with Blake's mother brings Jaxi right into their home where he's had to move back to so that a new young family could rent their extra house. Adv ...more

Vivian Arend in one word: Adventurous. In a sentence: Willing to try just about anything once. That wide-eyed attitude has taken her around North America, through parts of Europe, and into Central and South America, often with no running water.

Her optimistic outlook also meant that when challenged to write a book, she gave it a shot, and discovered creating worlds to play in was nearly as addictiv
