Elizabeth
Sep 02, 2009 Elizabeth rated it it was amazing
Written at a time when authors like Mark Twain & Charles Dickens were writing, this book is heavy in its grammer structure. For those who like to take time reading books, soak in the elements and experiences of the author this book is excellent. It chronicles Harry Gorham's live through the gold rush era of Nevada and California, specifically in Virginia City. He talks in detail about family life, mining, culture and society. A very enjoyable book.
