written by am old friend, whose love of great books, art, and all things slightly off color, is a delightful read and visually stimulating. teena, as i remember her, was always creating with words, mixed media, and all heart. her book is no different.

Light on content, but visually arresting. Apeles knows how to grab the reader's attention with patterns and color. Humorous titles like "How a Princess Stays Single," and "Pregnant but Fierce" are engaging and clever.

Flashy boiled-down MTV blurbs, sometimes insightful, rich histories short-changed in favor of pop-related filler - cough - Buffy.

I'd recommend other titles to academics, but if you're looking for an easy, intriguing read, try it out!
