Wilde explains this concept as a Universal Law, impartial and non-discriminating, that reflects back thoughts and feelings in the form of everyday events.

Per Wilde, we must all remember that when we came into this life, our spiritual essence left the higher realms of non-physical consciousness in order to inhabit our physical bodies. We came into this life with a goal or mission, but we may have forgotten our purpose somewhere along the way. Contrary to common psychological theory, Wilde explains that one cannot overcome weakness or trauma by fighting it or thinking about it. He explains that you must leave it behind and focus on the present moment.

According to Wilde, we all have the ability to create miracles in our lives. Yet it is our connection to the collective unconscious, desires and beliefs that may not be our own, that holds us back. It is our spiritual goal in life to transcend the collective unconscious and expand our perception to a higher vibration. The events in your life are tied back to your thoughts, feelings, and emotions, and Wilde explains how important it is to understand that relationship as you watch the events of your life unfold.

To create miracles in your life, you must first truly understand what it is that you want. Through meditation and visualization, you create an action plan as to how to go about getting what you want. You must establish the feeling of already having achieved what it is that you want. For example, if you want to be rich, you must feel as though you are already rich. Wilde says that it doesn’t matter whether or not you already are, you must feel that you are. When negative or contradictory thoughts arise (typically from your logical mind), you must make a statement that you do not accept any thoughts that contradict your desires and goals in life.

You must be enthusiastic about your goals and purpose in life. Wilde suggests creating a list of your desires and reading it through multiple times per day. You must be excited about your goals and you cannot act negatively toward yourself or others. All of these are indicators to the Universe of what you are. Additionally, how you carry yourself, including the clothes you wear, the people you associate with, and the places you go, are all further indicators. You must accept responsibility for your own existence and understand that you create your experiences. Time, as linear concept, is limited to the physical realm. To fully manifest your own desires, you must understand that at some point in a non-linear reality, you already have what it is that you want.

The concepts in Miracles are nothing new. However, what is unique about Stuart Wilde’s little book is that it takes these ideas and presents in a mere 50 pages what other books have taken hundreds to explain. While not discounting the importance of other books on attraction and manifestation, Wilde’s Miracles serves as a short book that can be read in less than an hour anytime you need a bit of inspiration or a reminder that you are the creator of your own divine existence.

I debated about whether to mark this one "non-fiction" or not. Some of what Wilde says is really out there, but the moments when he can reign in his verbosity and speak in concrete terms, he actually makes a modicum of sense. Of course, it's nothing that hasn't already been said by Louise Hay in You Can Heal Your Life or by Deepak Chopra in The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. Both books do a more thorough reading of spiritual principles than Miracles and have more real-life applications.

The message of this short book in a nut shell:

- Write down your goals
- Be conscious of your goals
- Think positive

For some reason the message was covered with New Age Spiritualism crap.

So if you read this book, expect to encounter concepts such as "Living Spirit", "God-Force" etc.

I heard this book for the first time on cassette tape in my car perhaps in the 1980s. I played it for years off an on for the past 15 years. I love this little bit of wisdom.

Simple, concise read on how we manifest what we believe, think and feel. More about the Universal Law and how to make it work for you. I didn't read some of the more popular books on this subject because I like these things made simple. This is perfect for that.
