Last month, I was a single preschool teacher whose greatest thrill consisted of color-coding my lesson plans. That was before I learned I was a slayer. Now, it s up to me to face curse-hurling imps, vengeful demons, and any other supernatural uglies that crop up. And, to top it off, a hunk of a shape-shifting griffin has invited me to Greece to meet his family.

But it s not...more

Aaaaaand that's what I'm talking about!

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, and then was terribly disappointed by the second. This third book is back to the quality and standard I enjoyed in the beginning. Woo!

In this story, Lizzie heads off to Greece to meet her boyfriend's family. Dmitri, the sexy shape-shifting Griffin, is back to being in fine form this time around, and I fell in love with him all over again. He's every bit as strong and powerful as Lizzie, but she manages to ho...more

The biker witches in this book were a hoot, although I had a bit of a problem coming to terms with older women, witches, Harleys and cross-continental magical disasters. It was a fun read though, and even though the story itself was predictable (who the villain was, and why, was obvious to me on meeting said villain for the first time) it was a fun read.

I enjoyed the lighthearted take on griffins, although it seemed as if Dimitri was a little too perfect, too self-sacrificing and too noble to be...more

Dark, sexy, Greek, shape-shifting griffin. If that isn’t enough to make you pick up this book then I don’t know what to say! Dimitri is Lizzie’s amazing new man. He really stole the show, though admittedly it was close because Lizzie can certainly hold her own and goes up against some big bad stuff. But seeing how Dimitri treats his family, his honor, and his deep feelings for Lizzie will just melt you on the spot.

This is a first Fox novel experience, and it was an amazing one. Now the first tw...more

I'd read the first two of this series years ago, then promptly got involved with other series *cough*Night Huntress *cough* and forgot how funny they are. So when it was time to up the ante and read 100 books in 2011 I went searching and what do you know - there were two more books.

I love Lizzie the pre-school teacher who still says H-E- double hockey sticks the demon slayer. Her insecurity in her ability to do the job is totally endearing Though admittedly sometimes you do want to smack her ups...more

I'm not very into the ass kicking super chick/romance genre. I'm all for a strong woman, but it seems like the quality of each book in this genre is worse than the one before it. I would actually probably give this book a 2.5. It wasn't very original, and I was able to predict the ending before I was even half way through it. I would have just put it down, but its saving grace was the talking jack russel. I have one of my own, so I related and thought that was pretty funny. It was a silly light...more

**SPOILER ALERT***
Lizzie and company travel to Greece to meet Dimitri's family. Well, that was the original idea anyway. Before she can even get on the plane she foresees bad news and before she can even get into the house, she is already battling evil.
This 3rd installment of Ms. Fox's demon slayer series was even better than the other preceeding books. New characters are introduced and old characters are brought back and even killed off. (No, I'm not telling who gets killed...) While Lizzie an...more

I picked this book up at a writer's conference. I have not read any other in the series and, yet I figured out the ending about halfway through. Sometimes, this is not a problem, especially if I am interested in the character and her journey, but Lizzie hasn't grabbed me the way I would like. She seems to have an interesting background but, in first person, she can become irritating. She seemed to come close to addressing important issues several times (i.e. sacrificing her own wants for the goo...more

Ok, I have to do these reviews together, because I snagged these up at a sale, and blew through them all in one weekend, so it was like one big fun book all together.

The story line was a little reminiscent of Katie MacAlister’s Aisling Grey series, which I LOVE. Our poor girl, gets sucked into a world she didn’t know anything about, her dog starts talking and she has a gorgeous shifter. Fox definitely kept it fun.

In Book 1, Fox tosses you right into Lizzie, and the craziness kicks up in full g...more

Lizzie goes to Greece with Dimitri for a vacation, to meet his family, and to train with her new teacher, but she ends up getting more than she bargained for when evil starts attacking Dimitri's ancestral home.

This is my favorite in the series so far. Fox has clearly found her stride. The problems seen in the previous books are taken care of. The sex scenes are believable. There is real world heart to the story--can Dimitri and Lizzie make their differences work to be in a strong relationship? C...more

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the "Accidental Slayer" books!

The characters are fully fleshed out and uniquely individual. You don't always understand their motivation, but I don't always understand the motivation of my nearest and dearest. Its part of the human (or human plus) condition.

As we head off to Greece in this installment her new lifestyle becomes even more challenging for Lizzie. However, she again rises to the challenges and manages to come out on the other side more capable than s...more

There are three truths to being a demon slayer: Look to the outside, Accept the universe, and Keep closed boxes closed.

Lizzie Brown, former preschool teacher, and now the a demon slayer, flies to Greece with her boy toy Dimitri for what is supposed to be a much needed vacation, and training, finally! Ah, but this wouldn't be Lizzie's story if things were that easy now would it? Lizzy see's a prophecy that shows her and Dimitri dying on on Santorini, Greece. Dimitri assures her that nothing is pe...more

A Tale of Two Demon Slayers is the 3rd book in the Demon Sayer series by Angie Fox. I absolutely fell in love with Lizzie, her dog Pirate, Lizzie's very hot boyfriend Dimitri and her biker witch Grandma during the first 2 books.

In this 3rd installment of the series, we get to know more about Dimitri and his family. This book introduces a whole new set of characters that make up for a whirlwind ride. We get to meet Dimitri's sisters Diana and Dyonne, friends of his family Amara and Talos (who ar...more

I really enjoyed this book. Wasn't sure at times - little things did annoy me - she did whine a bit and was way insecure at time, but it didn't drag on or not as much as some other books I've read, so that was a plus. Also wasn't happy with the bikers total lack of respect for other people's property - even if it sorta turned out it was for the good.

I think she grew in this book and I look forward to reading the next one.

I liked this book and the world Angie Fox created. It starts with great promise, and the love relationship is believable. Dimitri is a great hero. But I found the Las Vegas locations difficult to conjure, and hence, they drew me out of the book's believability. That said, it's still an enjoyable read with endearing characters. And Pirate is terrific!

I think this series just keeps improving. I love a paranormal romance series that follows the same characters instead of spinning off a different couple in each book. I like the characters in this series. Lizzie keeps growing into her powers and I love when a main character actually matures during a series.
I would highly recommend this series.

Ms. Fox is unparalleled in creating a world and putting romance of the old fashioned heart-beating kind in a tale full of action and tension!

And it's always a great Angie Fox novel when Grandma rides in!

I wish there was a 2.5 choice in rating. While the first two books were fun, this one was predictable. I figured out the ending right away. It was better once the witches arrived, but didn't have the same excitement.

I missed Lizzie! I don't know how I missed this when it was released. I thought the middle lagged a bit, but overall I was happy to be back with Lizzie, Pirate, and Dimitri. Hope there's a 4 in the works!

I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely this book flowed. I had remembered the previous ones being a bit slow, but this one had good pacing. It was nice to visit Dimitri's home and meet the sisters we had heard so much about. Pirate is still my favorite thing about these books. He mostly acts like the dog he is, but his commentary is great. I wasn't real surprised by the ending, but it was fun getting there. It was also nice to see Lizzie growing into her power and learning to believe in hersel...more
