Wow, what a pretty cover! Who wouldn't want to read this book based entirely on the cover alone? Luckily the story itself is reflected well with that pretty cover, filled with suspense, new friends, and excitement.

It was so sad to see the severe destruction of the Forest we grew to know so well in the first book series. Sunningrocks, Fourtrees and the River all destroyed by man's relentless ravaging of the Natural world. I would never call myself an Environmentalist, but I still hate the effect...more

I am at the part of the book where te cats on the journey come back from midnight(the badger). They must convince their leaders to go to the great rock to see star clan. They must do this to save all of the cats in the forest. So i far i think this book is a good book. I think it is because i am currnetly having an read-atthon on talking cats! I think that the warrirors seirs is a great book to start on! I still wonder if they are going to save the cats on the clans...

*SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE PREVIOUS BOOKS IN THE SERIES*

Squirrelpaw, Brambleclaw, Crowpaw, Stormfur, and Tawnypelt have finally returned from their long journey to find Midnight and a place for their Clans to flee. The twoleg destruction has grown much worse since the 5 cats left. Twoleg monsters have torn up half the forest, and Windclan is on the very brink of starvation, with Thunderclan and Shadowclan not far behind. Riverclan is the only clan that doesn't seem to be suffering, with t...more

This was awesome, though it took the cats little time to get to their new territory, it felt real and totally believable. The fact that it was mainly the twolegs fault, and that they drove them out by starvation and killing them off, made me have to continue. I did cry when Crowpaw got his warrior name. In this book you can see that first, what humans do to the environment is disguisting, all forms of life are special and have feelings, and lastly what you believe follows you no matter where you...more

The New Prophecy Warriors: Dawn Author: Erin Hunter Genre: Action
The five cats out of six have returned home from their mission. Crowpaw, Brambleclaw, Squirrepaws, Tawnypelt and Stormfur all made it to the clans. Feathertail has risked her life and died on the trip. Now the remaining cats go back to their own clans to tell their leaders that the clan must move to a new home, or risk extermination. Something terrifying is happening in the world of the Clans. Amid the destruction of the forest, cats are disappearing, including ThunderClan's beloved medicine cat apprentice, Leafpaw. Recommends it for: All warrior fans! Read them in order everyone!
This book was as enjoyable as the last. The clans must unite together on a journey as the clans go on the search for their new home. It has good and ending and is another addicting read, can't put them down!

This was definitely my favorite warrior book yet. Why? Good question. All the cats are finally together. That means no flipping back and forth between the 6 cats that are on a quest and the Clan cats that are in their territories. The territories are being destroyed by humans who are destroying everything, while they capture the cats that they find. Will all the clans decide to leave their territories for parts unknown? Will the cats who made it back from the quest be able to guide the clans to...more

I've been reading a series of young adult books for a couple of years now, usually reading 4-5 each year. The series is called Warriors and is about a society of cats (house cats, not lions, tigers, etc.) that live in the wild and are forced to cope with "real life" issues like hunting for prey, maintaining shelter, and the inevitable cycle of life. There are major issues to overcome including the politics of the four clans as well as the deaths of major characters. The books are suprisingly phi...more

Inhaltlich:

The third book in the Warriors: The New Prophecy by Erin Hunter. This was a pretty good book. It takes up right where the last book left off with Brambleclaw and company returning from their quest to the sun-down place.

When Brambleclaw and others return they find the Thunder Clan camp abandoned. It seems the Two-legs have gotten more aggressive and are destroying the entire forest. Will the Clans be able to stop the Two-legs destruction? Will Midnight's prophecy come true and the Clans forced to...more

I chose this book because it is the third book in The New Prophecy series. In Dawn the four Clans are finally pushed out of their forest home by the Twoleg monsters. They leave the forest and travel again through the mountains, running again into the Tribe of Rushing Water, with whom Stormfur, sadly decides to stay. Although the Clans endure many hardships along the way(hunger being the most prominent), they eventually find their new home-the lake. In my opinion, the best quote is "Well, we've s...more

Basic Synopsis: The journeying cats return and try to relay the message that Starclan have given them to give to their clans, and at first the clans refuse, but then accept that the forest is past the point of no return (after losing another friend) and travel to an unknown land far past the mountains (with a quick stop off at the Tribe) before finally finding a place they all can stay at.

This book follows Squirrelpaw and Leafpaw and how they watch the destruction of the forest and the arrival a...more

The clans have to find a new home, the chosen cats have come back with a message from midnight who is actually a badger. The four clans, thunderclan, riverclan, shadowclan and windclan become one, on the long journey ahead of them. In the end they reach their new homes with some help from the mountain tribe and Starclan

I like this book and most of the other books in the warriors series, because I love animals, fantasy, and adventure books and this series kind of joins it all together as well as...more

This is the third book in the Warriors: The New Prophecy series. It appears to be one of several series about wild cats. With more than 300 pages, this is a great book for older children to start expanding their reading comprehension abilities and challenging themselves with longer books.

There is only ONE problem I had with this one: a serious typo! Chapter 13, page 178 and 179 (paperback edition), Tawnypelt is called "Tawnypaw" not once but twice! It was quite a shock. She had been demoted to apprentice! I understand the confusion, though. Erin is listing the cats and there were just as many "-paw" names as there were warrior names. Right after that, it went back to Tawnypelt. So I forgive the author(s). [She must have been grieving as I was, and thus was out of sorts]

I still t...more

Dawn is the third book in The New Prophecy and the ninth book in the entire Warriors series by Erin Hunter.

The forest is being destroyed by "monsters." And four cats, with assistant of two, were sent on a journey to find the four clans their new home, and now they're coming home.

Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw, Stormfur, Tawnypelt and Crowpaw have returned from their long journey to tell their clans that they have found a new home for them. In their journey, they have lost Stormfur's littermate, Feath...more

I am still reading and I just started but I am going to tell what I read. p.s. This series is awesome. So far the cats reached home and leafpaw was captured by twolegworkers. The cats found the deserted thunderclan camp and squirlpaw was accidentally attacked by cinderpelt the medicine cat. Then or should I say cinderpelt guided the cats back to the thunder clans new camp at a place called sunning rocks. Also in the book before this one feathertail was killed by a fall from high up and she fell...more

“Our father was a great warrior. Our mother is proud and strong. They shared only one flaw: that their only loyalty was to themselves above all other cats. We're not like that. We understand what it means to be loyal to our Clan. We have the courage to live by the warrior code. And because of that we'll be the most powerful cats in RiverClan one day, and our Clanmates will have to respect us then.” 22 likes
