Midnight Girls - Lulu Taylor - 2010

The Midnight Girls were made up of three girls; Allegra McCorquodale - a
Lady in status and daughter of the Earl , Romily de Lisle- a beyond
wealthy daughter and granddaughter of famous French painter Vincent de
Lisle and Imogen Heath- Allegra's friend since childhood and whom
Allegra's paid for her schooling at the prestigous Westfield School they
all attended. The next part which in some ways are cliched , is that
Allegra and the girls after one of their Midnight me...more

This book is a soap opera! It is all over the place, and there are more sex scenes in this book than ANY book I've ever read! It was too much. Very graphic. This book was more than chic lit. It was definitely a soap opera. Things were happening and you had no idea how is the world they got to that point!!

That being said, I still finished it in 2 days. I must have liked it enough to keep reading. The main characters are so different yet are still best friends, I liked that. The story shows these...more

I loved how there were three central characters in this book - its refreshing to find a novel that doesn't constantly focus on a single person. Clever Imogen, stunning Allegra and super-rich Romily met at boarding school, and Midnight Girls follows their journeys from a terrifying event in their teenage years to growing up into the big world.

Although at first it seemed there were lots of confusing threads of the story, it was neatly written so all the loose ends were tied up and you understood w...more

Absolute garbage. Couldn't wait for it to be finished. I know there has to be someone out there who likes to read that dribble, but I glad I am not one of them. The blurb on the back of the novel actually sounds interesting, but I still waiting for the interesting part to start. ( Damn I'm finished, I guess it will never start then ).

This is the first book I read of Lulu Taylor and my did it have me blushing! I loved it though - excellent characterisation and descriptive writing (very descriptive at times!) You will laugh and cry, and be a little bit in shock when it's all over. Get reading Lulu Taylor.

A story that has you wanting to read on. The book keeps you gripped throughout although I felt the ending wasn't as spectacular as I had imagined and felt the storylines almost fizzled out a bit. But good characters and well worth a read.

Ok So it's a little too long and it took me a bit to get into this but I ended up really liking it. Can't wait to read other stuff by this author

Loved it, a typical chick read, enjoyed it from the start and it kept me interested, so much 'drama' it just got better and better.

The blurb looks interesting... Lets see how it turns out.The story has a good flow after the 'not so appealing'prologue.
Melissa
Completely and utterly unrealistic, this bonkbuster is pure perfect escapism for the cold January nights!
Janine
Interesting enough to finish quickly but way too long with lots of unnecessary description.
