I bought this for my local book group. I've always been a fan of werewolf stories and was hoping this book wouldn't bore me to death like so many of the romances I've recently read.
The first story is by Angela Knight. When a female werewolf in heat runs away from an arranged marriage to a brutish alpha wolf, she lands pretty much on top of a police officer who just happens to be a werewolf himself. Imagine the odds of that? She needs a baby in order to maintain her independence fr...more

My rating only goes to Sunny's story.
I must say that I'm really enjoying this series, which I can't believe because it did not sound as any of my usual readings. But this new world of the children of the moon has got my hooked.Although I hope the next book in the series is better. Let's see.
I need some more Story development and not so much "bedroom action". LOL.

Four short stories by different authors. All with hot supernatural men-types in them. Yum! I'm only in the second story but I'm already giving the book 4 stars... sexy reading.

OK now that I'm done reading the book...

'Moon Dance' - by Angela Knight
One word: corny. The love scenes were good but the rest of the plot was hazy. I felt like I started in the middle of a story with no background on the context. I won't bother reading anything else by ...more

There are four stories in this book. They are:
1. Moon Dance by Angela Knight (Mageverse, #7)
2. Between the Mountain and the Moon by Virginia Kantra
3. Driftwood by MaryJanice Davidson
4. Mona Lisa Three by Sunny
One day, I'll get around to reading this book... ;-)

Angela Knight's story was great! I loved it. 5 stars. her werewolves are the best! I'm not sure I understand the rules to her Mageverse, though. The one in Shifter was sci-fi future-y. One was fae and dragons. This was present-day. A female blue-blood of the direwolf Chosen is used by her father to secure power in their council. He plans to marry her off to the cruel stephen, but she runs after he tries to rape her, and she enlists Lucas' help...a Bitten cop. They have great sex, beat t...more

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book.
I've never read anything by Angela Knight before, but I really liked her story MOON DANCE. I was intrigued by her Direwolfs and the world they live in, and plan to look up more of her books.
BETWEEN THE MOUNTAIN AND THE MOON, by Virginia Kantra, was an interesting story, but didn't appeal to me simply because of my preconceived notions of the sidhe world. In this story they seem evil, and that threw me off, but the...more

All parts of a series (somewhat), and not bad at all!
Now, let's face it, there hasn't been a story by Angela Knight that I didn't like. This one was alright. Not the best that I've read but not the worst. I wish there'd been a little more to it. The couple came together way too fast, way too easy. Both knew what they wanted in life. The sex scenes and action scenes were well played out. Not bad at all!

Still not a fan of short stories but I liked Davidson's contribution as the story seemed more 'fleshed out' than the other stories in the book. It helps that I have read Davidson's Undead series and her other contributions to the world that the series takes place in.

This was a fun little anthology. I especially loved Virginia Kantra’s beautiful portrayal of the faery kingdom and MaryJanice Davidson’s hilarious were-vamp match. Fun read, but be prepared for a huge cross-section of styles!

Loved Moon Dance, fun sweet read! Between the Mountain and the Moon was good but a bit confusing, so I know now that I have to read the prequel to that one. Skipped over the MJD story as it looked like I might be confused by her note at the beginning, and stared the Sunny story as she is new. Couldn't get into it. The charachters did not seem real enough to me, not enough explaination of who Mona Lisa is...and the first sex scene...EEEK! TMI for me...a bit too raunchy for my taste...I may t...more

An interesting little guilty pleasure of an anthology that I read on the plane from Texas. For their compact sizes, each of the stories was sufficently spicy and compact enough to seem complete. While not a keeper, it defintitely works for a introduction or refresher for the paranormal genre. All of the tales revolve around shifters of some sort and 3 out of 4 are about werewolves. As a werewolf-lover, I was not blown away but I was pleased with the stories.

While entertaining, I felt these stories were over before they even began. Sometimes it's surprising how fast these characters fall in love, but if I don't think about it, then it becomes a very enjoyable romance. :) I felt that Sunny, the author of Mona Lisa Three, used her page limit to it's best potential. I felt the novella was really developed. This could be because the story was a sequel and she had room to just continue from the original.

ok so apparently i've never read "real" romance before, because i have never read anything with so much gratuitous sex. it's just not for me. a book needs to have at least SOME plot to keep it going...otherwise it's just reading a porno screenplay. maybe that's the point?? meh. i read this for the mary janice davidson story, and while it was the best of the bunch, it wasn't all that enjoyable. boo.

I picked this book up because Mary Janice Davidson had a story in it. I recently re-bought the book because I wanted to read the stories again. I know I liked Angela Knight and Sunny well enough that I looked for their books for awhile - but I haven't read anything by them since this book.
I am looking forward to re-reading this.

As usual with a collection of short stories, this was a mixed bag. One very good story (I will be looking for more from Angela Knight), two mediocre ones, and one rather lame offering I probably wouldn't have even bothered with except to just finish off the book.
