I really like this series. They're very well researched and often paint really good individual portraits of the First World War. They would be ideal for a school library. I think the drawings are very well done and although the characters can sometimes be a little too obvious it ought to be remembered that the series was created for children.
As always a classic reprint in hardcopy, Pat Mills script and Joe Colquhoun's art is an example of one of the best anti war comics I ever read.
