This second book of the Vampires In America series wraps up the loose ends of Cyn and Raphael's love story and gives us more insight into the vamp world of this writer's imagination. This book can stand alone as there are reflective elements that fill in the voids. I have figured out what makes this series so facinating for me, the characters. There is only so much one can do with vampire plot lines. It all comes down to the rules of which they exist and how interesting a writer can make the

The second in the series this book is sort of the "end" of the first book. While the first book left a lot of things unresolved this book closed those loose ends up. It left other, less important things, still dangling as questions but nothing that you felt cheated to not have answered.
However, like the first book in this series the last sentence is "to be continued." I have downgraded my rating for this. While not as heinously offensive as the first book's clif More...

Having read Raphael, I went into Jabril with extremely low expectations. I must admit that I was mildly surprised with Jabril; however, Cyn, the protagonist, once again found herself mixed up in vampire intrigue, but this time it was at the behest of the master vampire Jabril. Cyn was initially hired to search for a missing girl, not because Jabril believed in her prowess as an investigator, but to irritate his rival Raphael.

Great second installment! I was more than horrified by the actions of Jabril and honestly it was difficult to read at times. The book should come with a warning as it deals with sensitive issues, those being of rape and strong abuse. But I'm glad that the author didn't go into too much detail and kept those things to a minimum, the minimum still being hard to read... So be warned before delving into this book!

So......I absolutely love this series! It is fast paced and full of action. Never boring, and really hard to put down and go to bed. I ask myself what took me so long to start this series, it didn't initially catch my attention until I read all the great reviews. Now I am reading them all back to back as fast as I can, thankfully they are all available by kindle. Cyn is a very independent woman with her own business and her own life. But she seems to have a knack for getting into some serious tr

You guys know that I thought Raphael was fantabulous, right? Like, knock me down and made me its bitch good. True story. I was initially a little hesitant to start this book because I kept thinking "But this book isn't about Raphael and Cyn! It's about some dude in Texas!" Well, I was only partially right. There is a dude in Texas, A pretty bad one. Downright nasty, in fact. He's not all enlightened like those West Coast vamps are and he treats women pretty shabbily. But... an

A Texas Vampire with insatiable greed for money and control, he hires the very kick ass (who else could take down a Vampire Lord and his minions) PI Cynthia Leighton (just to ruffle some feathers no doubt)to find a missing sister from his compound. Little does he know that our girl Cyn is no push over and she will protect the innocent at whatever it may cost her. In book two of the Vampires in America series we pick up where we left off in Raphael. Jabril is a creepy, dangerous Vampire Lord tha

Forget the title, this is Raphael and Cyn part two. Jabril is the villain in this story, not a new H. Got a little more word building on Reynold's version of vampires, but as with the first book; it's really more the story of Cyn the PI's current investigation than a PNR. That's okay, it's still a really good story, and well worth the read. Took a long time to tie up the ends of Cyn and Raphael's relationship, but it was a wild ride getting there.

scared by creepy vampire bad guy

I really enjoyed the first in this series, Raphael, and the ending definitely left me needing more. I actually enjoyed this a little more than the first book. This had some violent scenes, and a bad guy that made me cringe (which says a lot considering the amount of books I read in this genre). Terrific second installment! Jabril is NOT a good guy or one that you would want to have a relationship with. Most vampire series focus on the romantic element between the two main characters and that is not the case here. Jabril hires Cyn to locate someone after he hears how she helped Raphael in his investigation. These vampires are very territorial, and Jabril’s intentions seem to be more than just the need for a good PI. This story packed a lot of punch and you get a good mix of the new char

Great sequel with favourite old characters and interesting new appearances. New vampire lord, who proves that there are not only charming vampires like Raphael, but also disgusting ones. Cyn is brave and strong, as usual. I liked the development of Duncan character - he is not so uptight in this book and we've got many glimpses of his charming personality! For those, who were unsatisfied with all the unspoken in Cyn and Raphael's relationships, there will be all the answers and events in this b

The continued adventures of Cyn and Raphael.
Cyn is trying to survive her heartbreak by throwing herself into work, she takes on an assignment for another Vampire Lord, Jabril, in Texas.
He wants her to find a missing girl but she quickly discovers that she´s only there for Jabril to taunt Raphael, and the missing girl is better off without him. Her sister, who´s Jabrils prisoner, is also in need of help.

This time PI Cyn who is still heartbroken over vampire lord Raphael's (cowardly) rejection, is hired by the vampire lord of Texas, Jabril, to find his missing human ward. But as Cyn quickly discovers, Jabril has an agenda in hiring her and his motives for retrieving the teen are less than altruistic as well.
I liked Jabril even more than Raphael - well that is to say that I liked the book 'Jabril' better than the book 'Raphael', because the vampire Jabril - who is this story's villain More...

This story picks up right after Raphael with Cyn still suffering heartbreak but trying to "snap out of it" and get on with business as usual. Hired by a vampire out of Texas, Cyn finds herself working for Jabril Karim the Vampire Lord of the Southern US. Jabril truly embraces all that is evil in vampire lore. He has no respect for humans or really anyone but himself. Cyn hired to find a teenage to whom he was appointed guardian but has run away discovers there is more going on in T

Plot: I was really eager to read this after the ending to Raphael. The last one left me wanting more of Raphael and Cyn. I was hesistant when I heard about a new vampire lord and a new character involved. The Cyn and Raphael romance did not falter and most of their scenes were...spicy! Along with the continuing romance, I did love the new vampire lord. He was so evil and tactless that I couldn't help but hate Jabril. His every step was only thought out for his benefit, even when it came to "

Jabril is the perfect compliment to Raphel. Cyn and Raphel will keep you on pins and needles being the perfect combination of one BADASS Vampire Lord and one BADASS exPD/PI. I found my self laughing many times throughout this book over Cyn's smartmouth. You will not won't to put this one down and get ready for Raj's book.

Jabril, this is book #2 in the Vampires of America series.... it was good.. I enjoyed reading it, more that the first book "Raphael" ... only because it make you become more attached to the characters in the book.... left me wanting book #3 . so that is a good sign .. and I like her style of writing.

I liked the second Vampires in America book as much as the first, if not better. Cyn was up against a truly evil bastard vampire! For all the romancey-types there is a HEA, blah blah blah...
Great action, interesting storyline and once again awesome characters! So happy I found this series. Ready to read book 3!

Jabril is excellent and continues the story of Cynthia and Raphael. In this book Cynthia rescues 2 sisters and finds evidence proving Raphael is not the serial killer of homeless young women. The book is packed with action, suprises, and excitement. It was so good I could not stop reading and go to bed.

WOW! I'm loving this series. I can't wait to read the next one. The characters are wonderful and easy to care about. Even when they're being stubborn and all vampire difficult, they're lovable.
DB Reynolds has given us another fantastic book. On to the next one!

Nice continuation of the series. Cyn is kinda like a young Anita Blake. Always prepared and much more lethal than the vamps think she is. Enjoyed the ending, but not quite sure what role she will have in the upcoming books. Guess I'll have to find out!

Cynthia Leighton is asked to find a runaway for Lord Jabril Kamin from Texas. Upon meeting Jabril, she knows that she must help Vampire Mirabelle from Jabril's evil grasp. Cyn rescues Mirabelle from Texas to California. Raphael is pleased to see Cyn and is willing to help. A series of murders are being blamed on the vampires especially Raphael. Cyn must prove that Raphael is innocent of these crimes. Can Cyn prove Raphael's innocence? Can Cyn find Mirabelle's sister? Your answers await you in

This was a great second book in the Vampires in America series. Cyn is a kickass heroine. She & Raphael are incredibly great together. The storyline was very good and Jabril was a scary villain but I loved that Cyn did not backdown. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Great completion to Cyn and Raphaels story! Usually I am not a fan of ass kicking heroines, but I LOVED Cyn!! I wish we would of gotten some more of Raphaels perspective in this book, he is just so delicious!!

Just as good as the first one and that's saying alot. Love Cyn and how tough and smart she is without coming off as a bitch or superwoman. She is just very relatable and likable. Now about Raphael, it's nice to see he finally got his head out of his ass and had some resolution to their relationship :)

All right, Jabril is one creepy dude. But Cyn really shines in this book. She's scared to death of the Texas vampire lord and his freaky minions, but stands her ground and saves the day. Her actions are really the definition of bravery. At first, anyway. Then things go downhill. We don't see much of her man Raphael for quite some time, as he and Cyn have called it quits due to him being the typical male, scared of his feelings. I didn't like this one quite as much as the first in the seri
