Sebastian Steele was the kind of man >women dreamed about. He was drop-dead gorgeous, wickedly charming and fabulously wealthy. So why wouldn't Jocelyn Mason accept his offer to help run her struggling company? It was his reputation. Sebastian was a corporate shark, and Jocelyn knew the big fish didn't swim with the little fish, they swallowed them whole.

It had been Seba...more

Good book. I liked Sebastian. He came to Newton Grove to honor the last wish of the man who had been his mentor, to help out at Mason Builder and make sure things were running smoothly. Jocelyn was not happy to have him there, as she saw no need for his input. I did like the way he helped without trying to take charge of everything. One thing they did have in common was a mutual attraction. When they finally gave in, it started as an affair with a known end date. Their feelings began to change,...more

The Heat is On...

Can't say it was my favorite Brenda Jackson novel. However, it was still a great read. This is the first book in the Steele Family Series that I have read, I must back track and read Chance's tale. The story centers around Jocelyn and Sebastian - two completely opposite people yet you feel the sparks between them from their first meeting. Thoroughly enjoyed their heated attraction. Night Heat also contains a very endearing secondary plot involving Jocelyn's sister, Leah and Rees...more

Love the Steels they are the sexiest men times the 10th power. Sebastian is a shark in business, he wants to take over Mason's Builders which is struggling. Jocelyn is not giving in so easy so Sebastian needs to go and convice her about the company. Love it it was a good read for me and I love the series as well.

Bas and Jocelyn meet after her father dies and leaves a quarter of Mason Builders to him in the will. With the stipulation that he stay for 6 weeks and help out with the company.
Jocelyn resents him and doesn't understand why her father could do this to her.
I'd say there was some sparks from the beginning for these two.
I enjoyed this story. Fast read.

I was originally torn between a 2.5 and a 3, then decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, as I did like parts of it and I did finish the book.

The highlights for me were all Sebastian Steele and his pursuit of having fun. I really enjoyed that aspect of the story. Ms. Jackson has put a lot of love and value into the Steele family which is the very thing that keeps me hanging on. Its some of her other characters that seem to fall flat, especially in the decision making department.

Bas is really sexy in this one. his no nonsense attitude seems to be hard to crack with him being tied down to his work. When he meets Jocelyn she seems like a head ache that he would really not want to deal with. The two of them together really complimented each other. Leah and Reese's story was great, Reese seemed willing to help her through her struggles and get her back. I don't think Jocelyn should've sold her company though. She seems too strong willed to be a stay at home mom. I'd love to...more

Love the Steele Brothers. When love calls, they answer.

I love when a man knows what he wants, and Sebastian Steele, "Bas" as he is referred to knew that he wanted Jocelyn Mason. Jocelyn, on the other hand, had to come to grips with wanting Bas and leaving behind her father's construction company and the thought of ever being alone after losing people the she loved the most. Bas made it hard for her to ever want to cut his loose. I can't wait to read about Morgan and Lena next. Great love story about being in tuned to mind, body and soul.

Wow ... Loved it

I don't think that it was as good as it could have been because there wasn't that give and take that should have been there. I was more interested in what was going to happen with Jocelyn's sister than what
was happening with her. I hope the next book is better than this one, more along the lines of the first one. :)

I loved this story. Sebastian and Jocelyn's chemistry was electrifying. I'd like to see how Reese and Leah's relationship turned out.

Not my favorite but still a decent quick read. I was more interested in Leah and Reese's relationship.
