In No Time to Die, Jenny is distraught at the recent death of her sister Liza. She decides to enroll in the drama camp that Liza was in when she died. But even though all the evidence points to a serial killer as Liza’s murderer, Jenny is starting to get the sense that’s not really what happened. But setting out to find the truth on her own might be a deadly decision. In The Deep End of Fear, Kate returns to her childhood home after her father dies. She takes a job there as the tutor for a young ...more

If you want a mild mystery story, this is the book you should read. It has two stories in one book and I love the way it was written, it gets better every page and it makes the readers feel like they are detectives. It was unpredictable just like the Dark Secrets 1, mysterious and thrilling.

Try reading her novels, it's really good. :)

I personally did not enjoyed this book very much. If i had to rate it seperately i would have given it 3 stars. Overall it was fast paced, and the ending was really surprising.

The Deep End Of Fear
Loved Loved absolutely LOVED this one! This book hooked me up from the start and i read it in one sitting. It was far more enjoyable than No Time To Die. The ending was AGAIN "WOAH" REALLY REALLY AWESOME! Though it was a little bit longer than the previou

I enjoyed reading the second story, The Deep End of Fear. It was more exciting than the first one, No Time To Die. It was a bit draggy though in the middle. But the ending was fine. I didn't expect the twist in the end. I just felt eerie when I read the last two chapters since I had a dream about it... well, it was close to the one in the story, before I even got to that part. It was like having deja vu.

Supernatural, horror, suspense, drama and love story all in one book. :D.

Going into a elizabeth Chandler book this time I felt a little more prepped, like I knew what was coming. Nope. I had no clue. Both these book surpassed my expectations and I LOVED IT SOOOOOOO MUCH! Yeah a crap review but I don't feel like it, lol.

Love the idea of having 2 books in 1, sometimes I'm put off picking up a thick book but knowing it's actually two short books it's a bit more appealing. I found No Time To Die really gripping! I did not expect to get so hooked on something that could be considered murder mystery as it's not my usual book choice but throw in the psychics, spirits and hauntings and it was hard for me to put the book down. Although initially I found The Deep End Of Fear a little slow, the introduction of a possible ...more

Like On the Jellicoe Road by Melinda Marchetta, I would re-read No Time To Die like a million times over because it has been one of the many good books I've read since like 2007.

Jenny, never having the same joy as her older sister for acting, decides to go to the same drama camp that her sister was murdered at almost a year ago.

But she doesn't realize that the murderer is still at the camp and its next target is her. No one at drama camp is what they say they are, especially not Will, the myst

As with Miss Chandler's first Dark Secrets book, the second story was better than the first. I don't know what it is, but I found Kate's story far more interesting then Jenny's, even though both were exciting.

SPOILERS

I have to say that I really did NOT expect Joseph to be the murderer, it was the a great twist. However, I think that she (Elizabeth Chandler) could have done a better job with the execution of Joseph's demise. I personally thought that Kate was naive with the way she just handed o

Dark Secrets 2 by Elizabeth Chandler is 599 pages long and is the second book in a series. This Book contains two different stories. No Time to Die and The Deep End of Fear. Secrets taken to the grave don't always stay buried.
No Time to Die, Jenny follows in the footsteps of her actress sister, Lisa, to a drama camp But this isn't for a family reunion. Lisa was murdered at the camp, and apparently the victim of a serial killer. Was she really killed by a homicidal maniac, or did someone just ma

Two more tales that will give you the creeps

Here are two stories one called No Time To Die and the other one called The Deep End of Fear by Elizabeth Chandler.

The first one No Time to Die starts off with Jenny Montgomery going off to drama school. Now this is weird for her because even though both her parents and sister is into acting, she is not and gets really bad stage fright when she’s on stage. Though that doesn’t stop her, for she has a reason to go. Her sister was murdered there last yea

Again this edition of Dark Secrets contains too seperate stories.

I preferred this duo to the first set; I don't want to say it's because Elizabeth Chandler caught her stride because I have no clue whether she had written "thrillers" (these are kind of thrillers) before this series.

No Time to Die was intriguing from the beginning, I very much liked the idea of the protagonist being drawn to the place where her sister died when she wasn't looking for answers or wanting to act. I hate when teenage

Every book in this series gets better, in my opinion. The two in this book are very good - 4.5 stars - and are confusing, scary, and romantic at the same time.

I liked Chandler's style in the first book, but fell out of love when the same cookie-cutter plot was applied to every book. The murderer was always the protagonist's friend, always seemed really nice, but wasn't very well developed. There is always someone that's psychic and helps solve the murder. The first guy you meet is "the one," ha

I've read Elizabeth Chandler's other books, Dark Secrets 1, and Kissed By An Angel, and I loved those two books, this book I didn't really like all that much. The first part of the book 'No Time to Die' was about a girl going to a Drama Camp her sister went to the summer before, and was murdered at, and she wants to find out what really happened to her sister, and feels a connection with her sister there, more than she does anywhere else. What I really liked about this part of the book was that ...more

Dark Secrets 2 contains two more murder mysteries from skilled author Chandler. As in Dark Secrets 1, Chandler’s stories here take place in or around the town of Wisteria and are filled to the brim with murder, secrets, lies, danger, and an element of the supernatural. All of this makes for a couple of very enthralling reads. Even though the gist of No Time to Die and The Deep End of Fear is extremely similar to that of Dark Secrets 1, I still thoroughly enjoyed Dark Secrets 2. Chandler has this ...more

I am really getting into these books!

In the first book, No Time to die, the reader see Jenny trying to figure out her sisters death. I enjoyed following Jenny learn things about her sister that she didn't know as well as figuring out what happen during her last days. Jenny went under a different name and played everyone like a guitar! She nosed around, ask questions, etc. It was really cool to find out who the killer was. But I would have never thought that it be something that happen so many y

After reading the first duo I had to read this one. It is as good as the first two.

No Time to Die was thrillingly set at a Theatre camp in Wisteria, the town Chandler has set for all her thrillers. Jenny is attending the camp under a different name to find her sister's murderer. The year before, Liza had been murdered under the bridge, by the apparent serial killer, unfortunately Jenny doesn't believe it.

The Deep End of Fear, the second novel in this duo is about Kate Venerelli who only rememb

I had read the first book in the series quite a while ago.I was in the book store and I found this and thought I'd finish the series. "No Time to Die" was the first portion of the book. This was about a girl Named Jenny that goes to a camp for performing arts. Acting wasn't her thing, but it was her sister's. Liza had passed away and Jenny felt she needed to go there to find out what really happened to her sister. She finds out much more than she imagined. This book was very good and entertaini ...more

This series is completely addictive, even though it follows different characters per a story, all located in the small town of Wisteria. In the first story, the No Time to Die, we join life with Jenny whose sister died of a tragic murder. The murder was allegedly committed by a serial killer, who still remained at large. Before her sister Liza’s death, Jenny promised to visit the acting camp she was attending in Wisteria, so she registers to the camp under a false name. It is there she encounter ...more

i am seeing a pattern with these books.....a girl leaves wisteria town only to come back later and investigate a horrible death of a family member or a friend or a relative. then she meets a boy who always falls for the girl and helps her solve the mystery.

in "no time to die" ill be giving it 3 stars (***). the story started good but in the end? i find it hard to believe that maggie was the killer of liza (jenny's sister). it was kinda far fetched if you thought about it.

More like 4.5-5. I really like both of these stories, although the second one could have been all on its own. All in all I thought it was better than Dark Secrets 1-2. I could not put this one down.

The first book was short but oh so sweet. Chandler is one of my favorite authors in this genre simply because I can always ALWAYS count on a great paranormal (mostly ghosts) romance with some of the best twists and turns. I didn't know who the real murderer of Liza, the main character's (Jenny) sister

In No time to Die, Jenny goes to the drama school her sister Liza was enrolled at at the time of her death. Everyone says Liza was murdered by a serial killer, but when jenny starts noticing weird stuff happening around campus, she thinks there was another murderer. Was it Michael, the guy who was supposedly Liza's bf? Or Paul the one who was obsessed with her? or maybe it was the director, who has anger issues concerning Liza and Jenny's dad? hmmmm.... Haha I loved the romance...with two people ...more

The book I chose to read for Term 3 was Dark Secrets 2 by Elizabeth Chandler. This has 2 stories in one book and I read the first one, No Time to Die. This was a story about a girl named Jenny who goes to a drama summer camp. This happens to be the same camp in which her sister Liza was murdered at last year. Jenny is not as much of an actor as Liza and she battles stage fright, her reasoning for going to the camp is to connect with Liza’s spirit. She believes Liza was killed not by a serial ki ...more

I chose this book because my friend had recomended the author, and I have been trying to read all her books. Well there are to books in one. The first book is about a sister, Jenny, that tries to figure out her younger sister's, Liza, death. So she goes to a drama camp where Liza died. Jenny is about to become the killers next victim if she finds out to much. "Liza took from me my greatest treasure!" Maggie cried out, then lowered her voice " Last summer I took back. “I'm not supposed to date you, Jenny."

"That's what you said before."

He leaned forward, his elbows on his knees. "I didn't think this was going to be a problem. I mean, I'm pretty good at not letting someone become important to me. I have to be if I want to make it to L.A."

"I understand."

He laughed. "How nice of you to understand, since you're the one making it a struggle for me! It would be so easy to make you important.”
