This is another story about a woman being wary of men after having been hurt by one. Norah's father was abusive, but only of her mother. When she found out, he hit her as well, instigating a divorce. Since then, she hasn't trusted men or dated. Ned is interested in her from the start but doesn't want to be because he wants a strong, sporty woman who will enjoy hiking and camping, whereas Norah is very petite and girly. Still, they eventually start dating and Norah slowly gets over her issues. In ...more

Norah, her mother, and Zsa Zsa (the dog) just moved to Misty Harbor for a fresh start. Norah is a spunky journalist hired to write controversial pieces for the local paper. Ned Porter is a big, strong, logger whose parents live next door to Norah. While checking in on his parents house one night, Ned meets Norah and ZsaZsa in the backyard of his parents house. The difference in their size is one thing, but the fear in Norah's eyes when she looks at Ned is something else. Norah has obviously suff ...more

Sweet story. This was the first book in the Misty Harbor series I read originally and I've picked up and read all but one of the others. They are all nice stories with usually 2 romances per book. This one had newcomers Norah and her mother, Joanna, finding a new home and love.

Misty Harbor is a great town and I really enjoyed getting to know the Porter family this time around.

I loved this book. I love Marcia Evanick as a writer and the misty harbor series is wonderful. The setting is calming and allows you to fall in love with the lives of Norah and Joanna Stevens. A great read I have shared with all of my friends.

Another good one. How nice to find another author who builds a pleasant world full of real characters; some good, some bad, some indifferent. So far I've really enjoyed her work. There seems to be a bit of an obsession with Disney but that's really not a problem.

When a petite young woman and her divorced mother move to Maine, they each meet interesting men who are complete opposites of themselves.

A cute, humorous small-town love story. Evanick's upbeat story lines will make you laugh out loud. Highly recommend.

I love Marcia Evanick's romance books. Love that the location is in Maine, I think that adds to the romantic feel. Her stories don't ramble and aren't drawn out.

I have enjoyed all her books so far but this one was not my favorite. Good idea for a story but some un-interesting fluff.
