5 stars – Paranormal Romance/Romantic Suspense
This series is totally addictive! It’s got a unique premise, an intriguing cast of young, 20-somethings with cool paranormal abilities, snarky humor, corrupt government conspiracies, uber bad-guys, edge-of-your-seat danger and suspense, dynamite action, and smokin’ hot sex! It reminds me of an exciting blend of several of my favorite TV shows and movies (think Firestarter + X-Files + Heroes + Push) all wrapped into one awesome, explosiv More...

I usually don't write reviews, only rate them. Since there are so few reviews I am compelled to do so now. I want to start out by saying that I read for entertainment only. I do not analyze plots or characters. I don't look for hidden meanings or for symbols. I found this book to be entertaining. When I bought the book I did not realize that it was the second book in a series. I wish I would have read the first one first. It was not necessary to follow the plot or anything, I am just that anal a

Part two of this series was extremely good. Reading it kind of made me think of the show Heroes, where the people have extrodinary powers and someone is out to use them for their own selfish mean. In part two of the series we meet Rand and Zoe. Zoe is a tattoo artist who also has the ability to make things move. She is warned by the CIA agent who was helping her find out about her father that her life may be in danger. Now she is on the run and is brought under the protection of Rogues who

Jamie Rush is writing a series that keeps you wanting to find out more about her characters. Each character has their own paranormal talent and must face how far they are willing to go to protect each other and stop the ones who want them dead.
Meet the Offspring, children of a mysterious experiment gone awry. They are targeted to die because they search for answers.
Rand can see the future a talent that could get him killed. As a loner he has a hard time letting anyone in More...

Love this series!!! The offspring children are an intriguing group of people, both good and bad ones. Especially the focused on in this book. Zoe and Rand are both people trying to keep their lives the same despite being hunted by the government. Zoe has never fit into anyone group, even with her friends that she loves dearly, but she finds a home with people that have psychic abilities like she does. Rand is a loner who doesn't want attachment after a life of neglect and living on the streets.

Out of the Darkness is the second book in Jamie Rush's Offspring series. Zoe Stoker is a tattoo artist and owns her own studio. Her whole life she has had to keep a tight leash on her emotions. When she loses control things have a tendency to move without anyone touching them. She ends up running for her life when someone tries to kill her. While on the run she is rescued by a strange man who takes her to a group of young people also in hiding. These people all have something in common - s

I am really glad that I discovered this series as I read both books in 2 days. The Offspring are back and the book picks up slightly before the last one left off to just a few hours later. We are introduced to a bunch of new Offspring, some on the good side with the Rogues, some on the bad side with Dark Matter. It is hard even for the Rogues to tell the good guys from the bad guys, especially when the bad guys are picking up more skills than them and even turning them against each other agai

~LEFT IN THE DARKNESS~
OUT OF THE DARKNESS is the second book in the Offspring series which centers on a group of twenty-something’s who are the children of psychic parents that participated in a government experiment. These “offspring” have for the most part hidden their abilities and are only now discovering that others of their kind exist. Our heroine Zoë is a great character; interesting, wild looking and a tattoo artist who just happens to be able to move objects with her mind. Howeve More...

*SPOILER FREE
I can’t remember how I found out about this series, but I did and I utterly enjoyed books one and two at the time. Then last year book three, Touching Darkness, came out and I just couldn’t get myself in the mood to read it. Closing in the turn of the New Year I finally did and I regretted waiting this long to do it.

Zoe Stoker has always been an outcast all her life due to her powerful gift to move objects. Living her life peacefully as an tattoo artist her life turns upside down when she’s suddenly being hunted down to be killed, only a band of gifted rouges - Offsprings like her, can save, her while her heart is on the line with loner Offspring... Jamie Rush has really fleshed out this series out with Out of The Darkness, everything had such a better pace to it without More...

3.5 stars it just didn't grab me the way the first one did and I found I was skimming a lot of it.
I can't really pin down why, Zoe was fab and a well-rounded character but she and Rand really didn't come across as a credible couple to me at all.
If you haven't read the series definitely start with the first.
I'm going to read the third and if that one is back to the standard of the 1st I'll continue - otherwise probably not.

Confusing and stereotypical at times, Out of the Darkness still delivers a quality story. And maybe it wouldn’t have been so confusing if I had read the first book. Honestly, I’m not sure, and while I wouldn’t say this is a must read, it certainly is something that I’m sure that paranormal romance readers will enjoy.

This is a new author/series you will not regret reading! She hooked me with the first one, and I'm officially an addict after the second. I can't wait to find out what happens next, and hope that Jamie WRITES FASTER! lol

It is an interesting concept - of course I paid no attention to the fact that this is the 2nd in a series so now I have to go back and read the 1st out of order, but it shouldn't be an issue. Looking forward to book 3.

I enjoyed this much more than the first book. Darkness' romantic focus is on a different couple, but the plot still centers around the Offspring as a group. Zoe and Brand make an interesting couple, both loners for differing reasons. I liked the fact that Amy & Lucas' relationship was touched upon instead of being ignored in favor of the new couple. I'm definitely going to be reading more in this series.

Extraordinary book filled with darkness, action, suspense and romance. The strong connections between Zoe and Rand was so emotional.I just love this book and can not wait until the next book comes out in May.

Excellent book and even though I didn't read the first book in the series I had no trouble joining in the story without the benefit of the first. The story was edgy and the action kept me glued to the pages so much so that I had to go right out to get book 1. Definately a great series that I plan on continuing.

I didn't really care for this book to begin with. However closer to the end of the book I got really into it. I did not realize that this book was a 2nd in a series until after I started it, and to begin with I felt like I'd missed something, but by the end I felt well squinted with the characters and their story and I now look forward to reading the next one.

I really enjoyed this book and will being picking up the first and next books in the near future. I want to see what happens to Eric and his temper and I want to find out how the saga ends up. This was really well written and kept me intrigued from the begining.
