SWITCH – I sit here staring at my computer screen, a little dumbfounded after just finishing, Switch. This is the first Megan Hart book that I didn’t really get – I just didn’t get it. I mean, I’m reading the story and I can see Harts style of writing – its real and deep – but at the same time I just didn’t feel it had much direction.

Part of the ending was a surprise, very clever. The only thing I wish for was an epilogue to know how a few of the characters were doing. An awesome book though!

In tangential leaps of thoughts & memories, I decided to have a little Hart-a-thon once I finished another trilogy. I wasn't sure if I would like the story because of a review I read but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I just finished the story.
Switch is beautiful.

Just finished reading this book "switch" from Megan Hart. Well, from my ratings, you could say I did not enjoy it well but I did, it's just that I expected too much from this book.
What I meant is, for months I've been looking forward to reading this, I've waited long enough to read this and yet here i am, done reading but not satisfied.
Moving on, the story is centered as always to a woman. Her name's Paige, a divorced woman who by chance is still haunted by her ex husba More...

It’s been a long while since I’ve not finished a book. I usually stick with whatever I’m reading, good or bad, until done, but this time I’ve read half a dozen books since I put this one aside and I just can’t make myself pick it up again.
I’m getting ready to start Chapter 11, and I just don’t care anymore. I have no idea who the hero of this story is. Too much time is spent on issues in Paige’s life that just don’t make any difference to anything so far in the book. With most of it I More...

I never know what to expect from a Ms. Hart book. Her mind takes odd twists and turns and her endings aren't always what I wanted. It's not that she doesn't provide HEA or HFN endings, it's more, the endings are not what I anticipated or wanted for the characters. This is the second book in a row where the main character ended up in a place I wasn't expecting. Ms. Hart likes to throw curve balls, that's all I can determine.

I found this book to be an oddly sweet story about Paige and her self discovery. Being the child of an illicit affair between her parents, it has seemed to color her life. Her and her mother were more friends then parent/child, Paige was definitely a wild child growing up, and is now just settling into herself and who she wants to be. It is a fight she has worked hard on.

The plot and technical aspects of this book deserve no more than a 2 star rating. However, I am giving this book a 3 star rating because somehow the author has managed to keep me reading a book about a woman I did not identify with, did not sympathize with, and who I thought was a slut.
Reading this book was almost distasteful at some points because of Paige's former lifestyle, and because of her cavalier attitude toward sex and men.

Megan Hart, Switch (Spice, 2010)
It occurred to me while I was reading Switch that the “erotic romance” genre—now a business that turns over many, many millions of dollars annually for prestige publishing houses—consists of the same books we had to buy from seedy bookstores we needed fake IDs to get into when I was in high school. Sure, there's a shade more character development and not quite as much sex as you'd expect from a title Beeline put out in the early eighties, but for all int More...

Paige is a lover of stationary and pens. She appreciates the different colors, textures and thicknesses of good writing paper. She appreciates the silky smooth flow of the ink when it meets paper. She even enjoys the unique smells inks and papers have.

Once again, Ms. Hart has blown me away. I enjoyed her first person point of view as Paige, a woman who has stumbled through a difficult past to find her inner strength and build a new future. This book didn't make me huff and heave with tears like Deeper and Broken, but it made me re-evaluate and appreciate the relationship I have. This author is a master at building characters women can relate to and travel on a personal journey with. Without a doubt I have decided that I must find a pen pal th

This was my first Megan Hart book and I wasn’t sure what to expect. From the cover I expected Switch to be steamier than it was. Don’t get me wrong, there is lots of smex and steam, but I found the story to be more about Paige figuring out who she is.
Paige is a young, mid twenty year old woman. She has a weird obsession with stationary. I have to admit I have never thought about paper and pen in the ways she does…. but I enjoyed reading about it! At first I had a hard time connecting More...

RATING: 4.5 STARS
The cover on this book jumped off my computer monitor and screamed, “You must read this book!” I immediately clicked for a better look and something strange happened. You know those optical illusions where you look at a picture and your brain interprets it one way, and then you can look at it again later and your brain will interpret it in a completely different way and you’ll see a whole new picture? That’s what happened for me with this cover. At first I saw a More...

Let me start off by saying that this book was completely different from what I was expecting. That being said, I absolutely loved it. Megan Hart's writing completely changed the way I look at erotic romance. There is a very real and emotional quality to her work that kept me turning the pages till the wee hours of the night.

3 ½ stars. No romantic emotional development, but some thoughtful ideas about power and wanting to please.
STORY BRIEF:
Paige and Austin were married in their teens and then divorced. It’s been a couple of years since the divorce. Paige moved to Harrisburg and has a job as administrative assistant to Paul. Paul has some eccentricities which cause interesting interaction with Paige. Austin recently moved to Harrisburg and wants to get back together with Paige. He still loves More...

This book held lots of promise for me. The sex scenes and fantasy scenes are just great, I love the way that the character Paige progressed through the book, coming into her own comfortable sexuality. However, I felt that the book became caught up in itself, Paige near the end stopped growing for me, becoming stuck in a rut. The way that the author reveals who wrote the notes is done in a way that if you aren't paying close attention you'll miss it, and eric's character just simply vanishes by t

This was just so-so for me and even the sex scenes were just so-so. I had to force myself to finish this book and the last half I was an awful skimmer. This should maybe be in the category "couldn't finish", but I pretty much read something on each page, so there!

My oh my, this is a really good read. You think you would know what happens in this book, but it has many twists and turns. I think Megan Hart did an awesome job, it's not about the sex for me it was about what goes with it, the deeper stuff. For me, it was about overcoming the past and moving forward, finding that special someone and making it work, even if you don't realize just how special that person is to you. I don't read much erotica, but this one was inspiring(in more ways than one). A b

I did not like this.
In fact, I almost stopped reading it about eight times. I'm actually surprised I didn't relegate this to my "Did Not Finish" list because I made a promise to myself long ago to not make myself read books I'm not loving. But I couldn't quite give it up. I mean--Megan Hart. I love her. I think Broken and Dirty are two of the best books I've ever read.

Sometimes, you turn back.
Sometimes, you walk away.
And sometimes, you find the place you’re meant to be, and you stay there.
You find a way to make it work.
Whatever it takes.
And as for me: I’m ALWAYS sad when I have to leave the world of Ms Hart’s stories. The world in which I forget who I am because I became a part of someone else’s life for several hours. Or I become one of her characters *blush*

For a romance novel that really bordered more on an erotic novel this book had a surprising amount of story building to it. megan Hart is a wonderful writer that captures you with a common tale, throws you smack in the middle of her characters lives and gives you plenty of back-story to make you feel like you know them without it being overwhelming. She then helps you relate to them and adds some super-sizzle.

This book affected me in so many ways I'm not sure I can describe them and do them justice. I read a lot of books and love most all of them, but very few move me. This book moved me.
Paige is so real and I related to her on so many levels. Every emotion, every struggle. Amazing.
Her walk through this time of change in her life is so well described. So powerful. Even as I write this review, I know that I'm unable to explain it. I would read it again and again.I know it would m More...

I received this book as a review copy from netgalley and then...uh...kind of bought the book out of my OCD to have the really good books as a print copy.
At first I really loved this cover. It represents the book really well and it is just nice to look at. Then I remembered the discussion about "Is he sniffing his armpit?" (BF thought that too by the way) and now I always have to smile when I look at it.

I am such a sucker for stationary. I have tons of "journal" type books lying around my house that I use to write down random thoughts, ideas I have, songs I want to download, you name it. I also am a little OCD when it comes to note cards, so much so that I have an entire storage box full of them that I've never even opened. I often go into bookstores, or office supply stores and spend a multitude of time observing the paper products, especially the really expensive paper that can be i

Like most Megan Hart novels, Switch is unlike any other book I've read, so it's tough to categorize it. It's even harder to really categorize it as a romance, even though it seems like one at times. But it’s more of a book about the internal struggle of Paige and finding herself and what she really wants out of a relationship -- whether it's something completely new or something that has been there all along.

This was, for me, my least favorite book by my otherwise favorite author. I couldn't connect with Paige like I usually can with Megan's main characters. I didn't really get the relationship with her boss, Paul; and although Eric was made out to be a super hotty, with all the build up between them, you expect her to drop her pants for them like she has with other men in her past. I guess I found this book scattered and harder to read than Megan's other books. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't m

At first when I saw this book, the 'erotica' tag made me pause. I'm not one to usually read erotica. I like a good story to sink my teeth into when I sit down with a book. So thus I have no idea why this book called at me. It could the idea of a woman leading a double life, and this double life being something wicked.
