I enjoyed this book so much that I ordered the next one in the series the minute that I was finished with it. I even wrote to the author to congratulate her on a wonderful read. I haven't read high-quest fantasy in a long time; they just weren't very exciting anymore.

If you're in the mood for an engaging escape book, this is it. Well paced with interesting characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely read the sequel.

First in a series, with not-your-average fantasy heroine princess. Went in directions I wasn't expecting, which is always good.

Wow. Given that I've had this book finished for about 2 weeks, and I don't remember anything from it, it must not have been that good. On the other hand, I did finish it, so it couldn't have been terrible. Good to know.
