The Floods (whole series review) by Colin Thompson:

It's been copious amounts of time between when I read these and when I'm writing this. As a result, I have little to offer in my review. Regardless, I wanted to leave something here because 'The Floods' is still one of the best things I ever invested my time into. Even if I was 12 years old when I read them.

This series of books is so good! Such a fantastic bundle of stories and characters. Not difficult to read at all but still complex enough

Read this to/with my 9 yr old daughter ;
Like all the floods series, great entertainment and ideal bed time reading for a parent and a child. Thompson writes with enough subtle humour to still give the grown ups the odd chuckle, and to also keep the little ones enthralled.
