Practicing the Power of Now is a handy companion to Eckhart’s wildly popular The Power of Now. Essentially, Practicing the Power of Now contains the same information as in the first book. However, I have to say that I prefer this format. The first book was written in a question answer format. These questions came from the author’s students. He also included amalgamated questions that covered a variety of common queries. These question and answer sessions gradually took the reader from common...more

This book has proven to be one of the greatest Spritual books written in recent times.it contains a power that goes beyond words and definitely leads us to a quiet place beyond our thoughts.sometimes i didn;t get time to read enough of that and I just carried it around with meand I could feel its POWER affecting me even whern I was not reading it.Here are a few lines made some chemistry in me:

Despite the fact that Oprah endorses this author I still really liked this book. I didn't get a chance to read it all before I had to return it, but what I read I liked and it actually did change me, so that's a bonus! Oh, and the change was a good one. (It may be a little bit OUT THERE for some of you, because it was a little for me, but the message made sense, regardless.)

I actually did not read the book "The Power of Now". But I love this little companion meditation book. Every word is a gem of wisdom & actual meditations & exercises work to focus on being here now. I don't have this book anymore, as I gave it to a friend & have not seen it return yet.

This book and all the rest of Eckhart Tolle's books have had the greatest impact on my life. His message holds eternal truths in pain english. He tells how to apply this way of Being and he resolves seemingly opposing ideas into a balanced approach to experiencing life.

This is probably my favorite book of all time. It's just so TRUE! It's the truth of the human condition, all the pain and suffering! I've read it a number of times, and I have it on CD. If you are searching for happiness or contentment, I highly recommend you read this!

He said all he had to say in THE POWER OF NOW, which is a work of real genius. I think this is the Reader's Digest version, and if you've read the first, you don't need this one. Let it go, as he would say.

I like this even better than The Power of Now. It's more user-friendly and easier to read and use. It has quotes from the real book. It has better headings, so you can skip through it with more ease.

Powerful. Powerful. Powerful. I keep this book and Tolle's Stillness Speaks near me. I now truly know what presence is. I now know what it is like to feel relief from my mind.

Focusing on the "now" releases you from your mind and mind thoughts about the future and the past, and helps you let go of the anxieties and comparisons.

It's been a while sinc I read this but I recall appreciating the simple and profound message, and thinking his experience was very unique and a bit scary.

I think I need to read this again, and again. Very interesting but not too far off from " common sense " thinking, with a twist.
