DESIRED TO DEATH

Posing as an underage teenager, Samara Lyons is out to trap an online predator. Smart, fiery, and fresh off a broken engagement, Samara is up for the challenge. Still not in the mood to write full reviews, so straight to the point it is again...

Noah and Samara were introduced in Rescue Me, the 1st book in the series, and I was happy to see that I didn't have to wait "forever" to read their book. I was even happier to see that their book didn't disappoint me. Great writing with a good mix of romance and suspense, yummy hero with a past tortured enough to make me want to hug him and never let go, strong heroine who isn't afraid to fight for what she wants

How nice! I was afraid I would have to wait for book three to get Noah's story, but "Return to Me" delivers with all the suspense of "Rescue Me" with Noah as the hero. I had to go looking for Reece's bio, wondering if maybe she has published under another name. The good news is, this trilogy IS her first published work/s and she's already got another one (trilogy) set for publication in Feb, Mar, and Apr 2010.

Noah is the head of LCR (Last Chance Rescue). It's his baby and the only thing he live

I LOVED this book, and I couldn’t find one reason not to give it 5 stars.

Pamela Clare was my first romantic suspense books, and IMO, she can be a tough act to follow.

Well Christy Reece has me all “Fan Girl” now!
This is my second Romantic Suspense from Reece, and it is the second installment in the LAST CHANCE RESCUE series. I really liked the first book “Rescue Me” and Reece did not disappoint in this one.
Her descriptions of everything are excellent, not too much, just right. The images in my h

This second book in Christy Reece's Last Chance series was one hell of a ride (and so much better than the first book), mostly because of the big boss himself, Noah McCall, who’s intrigued me the first time he appeared (in Rescue Me) and I was glad I didn’t have to wait a few more books to read his story.

A dark past has molded Noah McCall into the man he is today. The founder of LCR (Last Chance Rescue), an organization specializing in helping the innocent, turning victims into survivors, he’s d

Christy Reece’s Last Chance Rescue series is shaping up to be a ripper! So far, I’m two for two, and I think I might just have liked this, the second book, a touch more than Rescue Me. We were introduced to Noah McCall in Rescue Me, and I found him intriguing in that book. He was a dark, enigmatic, mysterious character with a shadowy past and I really wanted to know his story. Kudos to the author for not dangling him like a carrot across multiple books.

As the ruthless head of Last Chanc

4.5 stars. Another great book by Reece. I think I liked this one even better than 'Rescue Me'. Noah, the founder/leader of Last Chance Rescue finds a perfect match with Samara. I liked Samara quite a bit too. And the chemistry between them was steamy! While this is a romantic suspense storyline, the romance is the main focus of the story - which works for me! The suspense storyline of human trafficking young girls was quite gripping but it did have its holes, so anyone looking for a tight, accur ...more

The setup
Noah McCall, founder and leader of Last Chance Rescue, is a study in emotional self control and mystery. I was hoping his story would live up to the man and it surpassed my expectations.

The issues
To say Samara Lyons, Jordan Montgomery's former girlfriend, left an impression on Noah is a pretty big understatement. When an opportunity arises to have someone pose as a teenager to trap an online predator, Samara was the first person Noah thought of to help with the operation. They also hav

This is the BEST book in the series of LCR,absolutely loves each second of the story the twist turns and Noah's sufferings really made me cry but he is such a brave courageous humble and a great person who gave a chance to survive to so many people and brought about changes in so many person's life and saved so many

Samara she is sweet innocent gentle caring person who has lead a sheltered cosseted life with so many people to care about her and she has a big family who loves her adores her so so

Overall this was an enjoyable, if flawed, book. The plot moved along at a good pace and there was plenty of tension (sexual and otherwise) and plenty of action. It was also satisfying to get some of the plot threads from Rescue Me resolved.

But here's what didn't work for me: The fact that Samara had been almost engaged to Jordan and their sex life was mentioned in the first book. Not a big deal, but didn't sit well with me. A bigger deal was the fact that the good guys beat people to bloody pul

I just want to say that I LOVE Noah McCall. They really worked him up in the first book and gave the reader a nice picture of his character. When I was done reading the first one I was really hoping to get more into Noah. And wow did this book not disappoint! I thought everythng from the storyline, romance, twists were really good! I just want a piece of Noah for myself! I enjoyed the first book to this series ans thought this book was even better! There's nothing sexier then a man with a low vo ...more

This is the second book of the Last Chance Rescue series. Characters tie to book one. Return to Me was a fast paced plot that followed a basic formula. The character development was great for Noah, who is the head of LCR and a very closed personality. Getting to really know him was the best part of the book.

Noah and Samara had an encounter of the drunken variety at the end of book one Rescue Me and Samara is still annoyed by the memory, and Noah, a year later. Noah, a very controlled personality

i adored this book. i hoped i would. i was completely intrigued by Noah in the first book and couldnt wait to get to this one. it did not let me down. i think Noah and Samara were just the perfect match. she is quick witted and strong enough to put up with his gruffer edges. their instant chemistry that we saw in book 1 is nothing to how they are together in this one. the suspense plot was a continuation from book 1 as well. it was done well, even if a little coincidental.

Better than the first one but still not my cup of tea. Again I found the main characters of this book unbelievable. This time it's him to be so stubborn to be really stupid. Okay, I get you don't want the woman you love getting risk, but please, stop to slap her in her face telling her to get lost.

No, even if the story was better and she was a great woman (infact I know he didn't deserve her!) I still have some reserves about this author. I'm already onto the 3rd of this series, hoping she'll im

Noah and Samara had some great chemistry. There are some really horrific scenes, not for squeamish readers. Poor Noah has a much worse past than I was prepared for. He does a few things that pissed me off, but once you learn his background he's a bit more understandable. Samara puts up with a lot. The relationship between the two felt very genuine, but the back and forth, wishy washy-ness got a little old toward the end. I could have done without one or two of the "Leave me, NO! I'm glad that I decided to read this series. I enjoyed the first book and also enjoyed this second book. It's a great mix of romance and suspense.

Series Note:
Second book in Reece's "Last Chance Rescue" series about an independent group that rescues victims in need of help without the constraints of the law. There's a chance you may be able to read this one without reading the first book, but I would recommend reading the book in order due to heavy character ties and a continuing storyline from t

Return to Me is definitely tied with Rescue Me as my favorite of this trilogy, but Run to Me might be cutting in close. This is going to be VERY difficult.

Christy Reece has an imagination beyond anything I could have thought up, and Return to Me will blow your mind. The way she twists and turns the story, bringing in characters that have you saying "OMG...why didn't I think of him?" I just loved it!

First thought when finished: This was beyond fantastic! I loved every thing about it!

What I Gave it a 5: There was not a thing about this book that I didn't adore. I was emotionally invested in the characters, the case, and the outcome for everyone. I immediately wanted book 3 and was so glad that I had bought the entire series! If you like action/suspense mixed with roman

While I didn't like this one as much as the first it was still a good story.

Noah (H) had lead a tortured life as a child and young adult and when he turned his life around he started The Last Chance Rescue so that he could help rescue the innocent. He's made it his life and doesn't have much else. Samara (h) had made a pass at Noah the night of her ex fiance's wedding, Noah helped her home but turned her down on the one night stand and she's never gotten over it. This is the 2nd in the Last Chance Rescue series and i'm so glad i strted reading this series. This story is about Noah and Samara, they met in book 1 and left lasting impressions on one another, this time Noah needs Samaras help on a mission and she is more than happy to help. It doesn't run as smoothly as everyone would like, but it allows Samara to be close to Noah, no matter how much he tries to push her away. I want to write so much more about it but it would reveal too much for those who h ...more

After reading Rescue Me I wasn't sure I was willing to give up the story of Eden and Jordan but in Return To Me I found myself enchanted by the wildly arrogant, WITTY, handsome and sorrowful Noah and his self struggle with "his" Mara and love. The story is full of suspense, laughs, action and HOT love that makes for nothing other than a true page turner. Noah is easily one of the most endearing characters I have ever come across. Reece is an exceptional author, but more than that, a captivating ...more

Basically, I liked the novel. It was a fast enough read. The middle felt like the ending but, then again, so did the ending. We'll say that it felt like two novel in one without all that (sometimes) annoying (most of the time useful) recap information authors put at the beginning of sequels. The action kept me interested in the plot, enough so that I can over look the cliches. Reading the first novel in this series (or whatever it's called) is unnecessary but I think I read it (I need to take a ...more

Despite a fabulous first book in this series, Return to Me didn't have any sophomore blues and more than lived up to it's predecessor.

What Worked: As always, I'm all about fabulous characters. Noah far surpassed my expectations. Having been intrigued by him in Reece's first book in the Last Chance Rescue series, I had high expectations and he delivered. If you like a tortured hero, Noah McCall is not to be missed. Even if the rest of the book wasn't to my liking his back story was worth the read

Being a woman who cares about equality, I was damn happy to read this book. Samara is one hell of a character! She's fierce, caring, full of joy, sometimes childish. She is a fine young woman who can have a very unpleasant experience and make the best out of it. She doesn't let the man she loves be an obstacle between her and what she wants. I loved her to pieces!

I don't really know how to express my feelings right now. when I started reading, I found Noah very rude yet charming. but I knew he had secrets and his purpose was not to hurt Samar with his words. Coming to Samara, that girl had feel so proud of her. Without spoiling anything I'd say this book deserves more than 5stars. The storyline was great. I was tearing at many conversations Noah and Samara had. I never cried reading a romantic suspense novel before so this was new. I wanted to slap Noah ...more

Ohhh, what can I say...it was really Awesome read from the beginning till the last page.
This is a great Romantic suspence story with good strong leads. The characters have a depth to them that is not always found in books these days.
In the second book of Last Chance Rescue series we find out the history of Noah and how LCR came to be. The hero Noah is handsome and compelling. I love how heroine Samara is strong ("By the time I'm through with him, he'll be kicking his own ass") but at the same t

I've read RUN TO ME and RESCUE ME and they were much better than RETURN TO ME. This book was too weepy and sugary. I was skipping some pages, too. I wanted to like this book but I couldn't.

I can't understand how this book got such a high rating from so many people. The character samara is unbearable. She is overly emotional and overreacts to everything. The interaction between Samara and Noah in the first chapter is so unrealistic I could barely get through it. Yes I know most romance novels are unrealistic but this one really goes overboard. I only continued to read hoping it would get better but if anything I think it got worse. I love the tortured hero as much is anybody but th ...more

Growing up in a tiny community in Alabama boasting only one stop sign and a gas station gave Christy ample opportunity to create daring adventures in her head. When she wasn't thinking of her story characters, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys kept her entertained and out of trouble. Later came the chills of Stephen King and the thrills of John Grisham, but the romance genre always held a strong place ...more
