Read this book as the series had multiple good reviews - but frankly the book was kinda dumb, annoying and boring. I hate not knowing the end of a book but if my Kindle didn't have that wonderful text-to-speech facility I wouldn't have finished it.
I am so glad I bought it directly from Ellora's cave website [for $4.45] instead of paying Amazon's ridiculas price [$7.12 - normally Amazon's better priced than this]. For the short book of this quality it really should have only been $2.99 or less -...more

You have to suspend reality that this strong woman would actually allow herself to be stripped and intimately massaged by strangers. She is suppose to be a control freak. Okay, you have let that go, right? Good, then you might enjoy this book.
I liked this story only because it had a man who had loved her for a long time making a play for her. It is pretty much just silly smut and a fun read for a rainy afternoon. Don't try to take it too seriously.

Having already read the 4th book in the series, I had some idea of where this book was going to go, but even knowing what I knew, I was pleasantly surprised, and happy with it.
The plot was lacking in depth, as there was no real action to it. I felt that the other books did better with a plot. I felt that the author focused too much on the D/s aspect of the novel instead of the actual relationship between the characters.
Overall, I really did enjoy the book.

Overall it wasn't that bad of a novel. I do like the BDSM novels, they happen to be a favorite of mine and I have read a lot in that category. This one was alright but at some points highly unbelievable. I think it would of been more believable if the heroine was a little upset that the Master was her boss. It seems like some trust lost there, at least for me, if it happened in that circumstance, that is.
HOLY CRAP, this is one smokin' hot story. Realistic? No. Would I want to have a relationship in real life with Ryan? No, but I sure liked reading this story. Ryan is a Dom with a capital D. He truly cares for Jessica and the sex was H O T!!!

This book broke so many BDSM rules that I really wondered how much research into the Lifestyle the author had done. I made it about a quarter of the way through before I couldn't take it anymore. I hate being so harsh, but the plot was thin and the BDSM aspects drove me insane.

Short but I really liked it - plus I am a huge sucker for "office romances." Although this was more of a "dungeon romance" :) Nothing too heavy for the feint of heart - would recommend if someone was looking for a short D/s romance.
Dom secretly wants girl. Girl gets persuaded to accept a night of pleasure by masked dom. Girl leaves. Dom catches her. Hot sex throughout. End of story. Nothing new here.
Solely focused on work, Jessica has little time to relax and unwind. When she is invited to the Pleasure Palace, a place where all your fantasies become realities, she brushes it off. Her boss, Ryan though knows what she needs and insists she go take the night off.
Ryan couldn't be more thrilled, he has been waiting to see if Jessica would fit into his life style, now that the time has come he plans to make sure it is everything she needs.

This one has some Bite. Definitely D/s (although it is a romance as well) he makes good use of the time he's got with the girl. Girl lusts after boss. Boss is secret dungeon master. When he becomes her Master (of course she does not know who he is) and turns her fantasies into reality she falls in love. Paulin has a way of crafting sex scenes that are incredibly arousing - and they can be down and dirty too. The D/s here is very exceptionally well done - particularly dialogue. Again, I wish this rating system had half-stars, because I'd be more inclined to say 3.5 stars on this one.
If you're looking for a quick read with a bit of action, this will fit the bill. It's not long enough for anything really deep or any significant character development, and you have to ignore how easily a control freak lets herself go (which sounds like contradiction...and it is). That being said, it's a well-written and fun piece.

This is my first read by this author and I liked it very much. It is a short reading, not too much room for character development and yet H/w are well drawn, chemistry and feelings are showed and the scenes are scorching.

I do like the boss stories. I always think it will be fun to submit to a dom boss. Reading this story only fans my fantasies. The name of the story is a bit corny, but still, I enjoyed it. The club was nice and I wish I had one by me just the same.
