Everything you need to know about Chicago Politics is right here, wrapped up nicely between two covers.

David K. Fremon explores Chicago Politics and the election of Chicago's first African-American Mayor, Harold Washington.

Take a journey with Fremon as he gives you the low down dirt on each ward; who's who in each ward; and families that go on for generations.

Highly recommended for the political buff.

There was a time when I imagine this was an indespensible text for anyone interested in Chicago politics, with its sketches of the political-economic background of each of the city's wards. Now it is so out of date as to be meaningless. A new edition would be a gift to the world.
