Gervase Phinn's style of writing is so accessible, that anyone from 10-100 could enjoy this book, especially if they have had a problem with bullying. Tom's dad has just died, and he is struggling to get back on track with school, a new boy has just started and is giving him, and all his classmates hell.
Tom's mother is always there to support him, but to stand up to the bully, Tom goes it alone, along with the advice from his new friend Roy. Phinn's way of writing a bully is very believable and

I read this because my daughter's class are reading it at school and it didn't take me long to get into it. So very moving and recommended to everyone.
