from page one, I could not put down this book.Any spare time I had was devoted to getting more and more into Suzanne's life. Suzanne Jauchius has really opened herself up and has allowed me in to her life, to see the good and the nitty gritty. This book offers those of us without her gift and gift others possess, a real view of what is gone through by those with such a special gift. I can not say enough good things about this book, I would encourage all to read, I will most certainly will be. Su...more
Sometimes books come to you at exactly the right time in your life. This has happened to me with a few other books and I think this one as well. All I really knew about this book going in was it was about a woman who had been married five times and was struggling to find herself. I thought that was something I could understand and connect with. Immediately after reading the first few pages I realized there was something else going on, the author was also psychic and this was her memoir or her st...more
Many are the times in my life where I have felt lost, unsure and uneasy. I've also had points where I felt less than accepted for who I am and felt uncomfortable in my own skin. It's far from a unique situation. I'd even go so far as to guess that many people share similar experiences. Some to a lesser extent than others. Some to a greater extent. You never really know the struggles of person you meet at random in the coffee shop. Everyone has a story to tell.

I have to admit that I started this book with absolutely wrong expectations … somehow I was expecting a book a la Mercy Thompson stories (by Particia Briggs) without all the paranormal or a kind of mystery novel by Aghata Cristie. Somehow I hadn’t noticed the word memoir at the beginning of the summary.
But as I already started and had figured out, it was a memoir … not my usual choice in books … I still kept reading. It’s an interesting and captivating life story … kind of a self-help book, that...more

Some parts of this book were very gripping and extremely well-written. Others, unfortunately were so “woe is me” that I couldn’t identify with the “character” (Suzanne) and I felt like important information was being shielded from the reader. I had a lot of unanswered questions, which I will spare you from here due to the spoiler aspect. When writing a memoir, I think transparency (or lack thereof) is very apparent and important.

I very rarely pick up anything but fiction, but the synopsis of this one interested me enough. The author generously provided me with a copy for the purposes of review, and I am glad that I bent my 'no non-fiction' preferential rules for a change.
Suzanne Jauchius very bravely put her life down in a book. I am sure that it was not an easy story to tell or expose to the world. Based on what I read about Suzanne in this book, this must have been a major step in her life to take; one filled with hes...more

Before I begin I want to state that I was approached by the author and asked if I would read and review or rate her book. In no way, shape or form, is my review biased by this.
Sometimes a book feels like it was sitting on a shelf just waiting to be read, and sometimes, if you are very lucky, it may even feel like it was written for you. You Know Your Way Home felt like one of those special ones to me!

Written as a memoir, You Know Your Way Home describes the life and experiences of Sue as she navigates her various troubled relationships while coping with her growing psychic powers. While it describes the journey Sue embarks on as she struggles to accept her powers, the bigger journey is the one she eventually accepts to overcome addictions and abuse, while learning acceptance of herself. While that sounds heavy, the story moves along with enough lightness and humor to avoid being dark and dep...more
This was a very interesting book to me. I think with the way it was described in the Youtube video, I was expecting more of a light thriller/memoir. That is not what it was. I think the subtitle does the book a bit more justice than the video. On that note, the book pertains to the author's journey from short of self loathing and the non-acceptance from those around her (note: 5 marriages) to one of self acceptance.

What a great book! I could not put it down. When I was finished, I wanted more. It was one of those books you do not want to end and then think about for days after completing it. I had so many questions I wanted to ask. Great book and beautifully written!

I almost received this book for free from goodreads giveaways, however, I wasn't selected, but Suzanne was really kind to send me a copy, which my mother is currently reading (having taken it from my hands the moment it arrived) so, when she finishes it, her review will be posted, before mine. =)
My mom gives it 4 stars: She says it's interesting and easy to read, keeps you hooked until the end of the book, difficult to put down.

I got this book from the author and I liked it although I am not the biggest fan of memoirs. This is a quite page turner, full of interesting carathers and situations. It's story of a women with a psychic abilities who grow up in a dysfunctional family trying to be normal, had been married for five times and she made it through, after a long period she started to live the life she always wanted. Although it makes you wonder if she is really gifted as she says she is, why her life was so hard? ho...more
I received a free download of "You know your way Home" by Suzanne Jauchius,in exchange for a honest review.
This novel is a straight-forward memoir showing the life of a local psyshic who grew up trying to "be normal" while coping with a dyfunctional family. I'm not going to give a synopsis as you can read this on your own but I will tell you that Jauchius has been able to triumph over bad relationships and possibly even more importantly found the path she was meant to follow and pursued it.

This book starts out with some serious action as it opens on the author and her friend chasing a car that only Jauchius can see. I knew it would be good if it started out like that. It's not without flaws, but I wasn't disappointed by the book.

I didn't really know what I was getting into when I started this book, and parts of it read like fiction to me because I have difficulty believing in psychics.
That said, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The narrative was very engaging and I breezed through the book in just a couple of days because I would read for hours, unable to put it down. Parts of it I could relate to, other parts I couldn't, but the life-lessons about tolerance, forgiveness, boundaries and learning when to say "no" were enou...more

This started with such promise for me..........it began with Suzanne, who's a psychic assisting Search & Rescue in the recovery of a little boy. Intriguing stuff. I thought there was more to come.
However, she went back to the beginning and to her childhood which makes sense and again was very interesting. She also ended up meeting some dodgy men on the way, all who seemed to be drinkers and she married 5 of them !!
However, then she ended up meeting someone called Caroline, a therapist, and f...more

Suzanne Jauchius is a local area author and will be a guest when our book group gathers. Her story is interesting and I don't doubt her psychic abilities, but I struggled with her 'poor me', 'no one understands me', 'I've had to work soooooo hard', etc. etc. etc. life story, that at times I just wanted wanted to say enough already! That said Ms. Jauchius in her memoir does recount some interesting incidents of her psychic abilities.
The title made me think this book was something it isn't - a guided self-help book. Not that I'm complaining.
I stayed up to finish this book. I had to.
It's an enjoyable, interesting, page-turning autobiography that isn't depressing or overly maudlin - even in places where it has every right to be.
I closed the book still interested and hoping that in time, another book will be written.
I left out one (really a half) star because I'd have liked some of the threads closed, but that's my pickiness....more

This book started out as a real page turner. The author is psychic and has helped solve crimes. But her story is about her life in a dysfunctional family, five marriages and co-dependence with alcoholics and swindlers. Her psychic abilities did not help one bit in her personal life. I found the book interesting, but also tiresome. I loved the parts about helping to find missing persons or solving crimes. But they were few and far between.
The author sent me a free copy of the e-book.

One rarely has the chance to not only read a unique experience, but experience the unique person behind it. Having done both, this is an adventure well worth the travel, especially knowing its veracity.
First of all I'd like to thank Suzanne for sending me a copy of her book. I finally got the chance to finish her book and it was great. She put into details of how she managed to overcome the tragedies that happened to her and how she was able to help others by using her abilities. She's definitely a strong woman who never gave up in finding what is true to herself.
I won this book through Goodreads First Reads.
I'll get it out of the way and say I don't believe in psychics or all this new age medicine stuff. At times this was an interesting book and I did read it with an open mind, but this really wasn't for me. I'm glad Mrs Jauchius' methods helped her through her struggles in life, and I'm sure this will be an excellent seller to the appropriate audience.
