I enjoyed Lotta on Troublemaker Street – the follow-up story to The Children on Troublemaker Street – but suspect that I would have enjoyed it more if I had read it first. In this early edition of Lotta, the illustrations by Julie Brinckloe show a more disheveled Lotta, but the drawings are every bit as charming as Robin Preiss Glasser’s illustrations in The Children on Troublemaker Street. *

This five-chapter story is about five-year-old Lotta waking up angry at her older siblings for hitting he

Beberapa kutipan favorit:

"Ah, jadi kalian baru saja dari rumah Bu Berg," kata Ibu. "Senangkah Bu Berg kalian kunjungi?"

Saya suka membaca novel anak-anak karya Astrid Lindgren.

(hal. 29)

I loved Lindgren’s Pippi books when I was young but I never knew about this book or its sequel The Children of Troublemaker Street.

I wish I’d known about this book when I was five. This is a wonderful introductory chapter book. The color cover picture and several black and white illustrations in the book are quite sweet.

Lindgren definitely captures what it feels like to be an angry child. The family and the neighbor are warm and appealing.

The only thing that didn’t ring completely true for me

Untung ada pameran buku kompas, kalau enggak, dimana lg coba nyari buku lama ini.

Berawal dari emil kecintaan ku atas buku2 Astrid Lindgren muncul. Dan sekarng giliran Lotta mendapatkan kecintaan itu.

Lotta & saudara2nya memang bandel n nakal khas anak2, tp orang tua mereka mampu mengelola kenakalan itu sesuai dgn porsinya, sehingga ank2 itu ttp lucu dan menyenangkan. Sesuatu yg harus ditiru orang tua2 lain.

One Sentence Review: I'd like to shake the hand of whatever genius it was that thought to pair these older stories of Astrid Lindgren (of Pippi Longstocking fame) with the art of Robin Preiss Glasser (of Fancy Nancy fame) since it is clear that the combination renders this and the other books in the series completely and utterly timeless (and I don't throw that word about every day, y'know).

"Kalau begitu, aku lebih suka telanjang," kata Lotta. hal.122

Bwahaha... teringat diri sendiri waktu balita, ngambek nggak mau pakai baju karena celana panjang favorit sedang dicuci... ;P

Masa Kecil. Ajaib dan selalu mengesankan.

Membaca kembali Lotta membuat saya tersenyum simpul bahkan tertawa lepas. Begitu banyak ulahnya -yang khas anak anak- membuat saya terkekeh. Ketika Lotta berdiri ditengah hu

Da

If you hear the author’s name Astrid Lindgren, what springs to mind? Most probably, her most famous fictional character, Pippi Longstocking, the red haired girl with enormous strength, living on her own with just a monkey and horse for company and a pirate captain father.

But there is so much more to Astrid Lindgren, the famous Swedish writer. Astrid Lindgren has written so many more novels but most of them pale into insignificance thanks to the worldwide success of Pippi Longstocking.

My mom got this book for my five-year-old son because she remembered her mom reading it to her and her sisters when she was a kid. I really enjoyed reading it to Gavin and he dug it, too. We're going to read The Children on Troublemaker Street next.

Lotta pinter. Nakalnya nakal cerdas. Suka deh.

All three of my kids loved the book and asked me to read it to them over and over again. It is a great book for 6-9 year olds.
Goge (BARRONS) le Moning Maniac,
I never realized,

I love this author.
A lot.
I have loved many writings by her and I never knew she was one and the same.
Thank you Astrid Lindgren.
For making me have such a lovely childhood with your lovely and entertaining and fun-filled and winsome and intelligent and creative words and images.
To me, your books are childhood memories and fantasies captured on paper.
They burst and splash at you like a happy summer day of playing with the water hose.

I just read this book to my daughter. She enjoyed it, but I don't remember Lotta being so naughty when I read it as a child. She cuts up her sweater that her grandma made her because she doesn't like it and runs away from home.Hmmmm...
Maybe not the best ideas to be planting in a 5 year old head! I also thought it strange that Lotta's mother leaves her at home while she goes shopping for the day. The story says that Lotta isn't old enought for school yet so she must be pretty young!Weird!

This is the very first book that I ever read. Gw inget banget bacanya yang pas jaman TK. Ilustrasinya bagus, lucu gitu, gambar orangnya mirip boneka.
Tx Gramed! :)

Mari really liked this one, but I thought Lotta was a real brat. Why do so many little girls books have snotty main characters? (Junie B Jones is another one) In this first book of several in a series by the same author as Pippi Longstocking, Lotta decides to move out when her mother insists she wear a sweater she finds itchy. Lotta goes to "live" in the neighbor's shed attic, but decides when it gets dark that she'd rather be at home with her mom and dad and brother and sister.
Ellen Isabella
Ellen
Lotta becomes angry with her mother when assigned to wear a scratchy sweater. She cuts the sweater up (horrors!) and runs away to find a new home. Her next door neighbor lets her set up a little house in the backyard, and Lotta decides she will live there forever. She dusts a lot. Lotta ends up going home in the end, of course! I like this book by the author of Pippi Longstocking, because I think so many children can relate to Lotta's anger.
Ririn Miu
ga sedahsyat Emil sih tp lumayan lah...
Penni Russon
Unlike the first Lotta book, which is composed of darling little vignettes, this has a continuing narrative arc. Charming and cathartic for a listening five year old, Lotta is genuinely naughty, but we love her anyway.

An excellent introduction to "chapter books".
