Wanna get lost in a summer mystery? THSI IS IT! Set in beautiful, quirky SWFL (my home!) this book has it all--suspense, intrigue, teen angst, and adventure. Let your imagination run wild and climb aboard--it's a fun ride!

The Last Pirate is the story of a 14-year-old boy, Harley Cooper, who finds a pirate's 200-year-old treasure map on Florida's west coast. Picked this up on Pine Island, FL last month. Written by a local and set on Pine Island and the surounding area, it was fun to read a story set in this area. It was an entertaining tale and I am glad I read it but it was not the best book ever. After this ending I am wondering where the next two volumes are taking the reader?? The main character was likeable so that is a plus.
