This book was not something I'd expect from something titled "Ready? Set? Hawaii!" What I love about the Beacon Street Girls series is that each book manages to present a realistic and down-to-earth situation for the girls, yet maintaining high interest. There are no characters presented as completely bad or completely good; everyone has at least a flaw and a soft side. The issues presented, just as being compared to an outstanding family relative or dealing with family pressure or new friendshi ...more

OK lar, but very pointless- was a massive waste of time. It was very typical sory like - happy, problem, panic, solved, then happy in the end again.

I am on page 176, the book is getting very interesting. Avery and Meave are going down to the pool to go swimming, to get their minds off all of the drama. This book has a lot of twists and turns.

I finally finished "Ready! Set! Hawaii!" It was a really good book. I really enjoyed it. There is a lot of interesting things going on. Lots of surprising events.

This book was okay in the beginning, but it got very good towards the middle and end. I would highly reccommend this book and series to young adults and tweens between the ages of 9 and 13.

The Beacon Street Girls books are inspired by all the preteen girls I've ever known. I wanted to create a world where girls can go to have fun and learn about who they are, while modeling real-life experiences. The first book, Worst Enemies/Best Friends, explores creating and testing friendships, skewed first impressions, and being the new kid at school. In the end, true friendship conquers all. W ...more
