Heartwarming story of a damaged man finding love when least expected it. Tyler Lewis wanted only one thing - a solitary life. He is still suffering from the effects of the brutal childhood. He doesn't trust himself to be around people and definitely not looking for relationship. His solitary life was rudely disrupted when Jayne Miller arrived at the home nearby. Jayne is recently divorced mother who wanted to start a new chapter in her and her daughter's life in the remote part of Tennessee Vall ...more

A keeper!!! FYI, you may want to read these books in this order; there is a connection.

Somebody’s Baby (1989), Somebody’s Lady (1992) and Somebody’s Hero (2006): Liz and Zachary (SL) were the lawyers for Daniel and Sarah (SB); Tyler, the hero of SH, is a teenager involved in the murder case in SL.

This book just dragged. There was so much emotional baggage on the part of the male lead that I actually expected him to be older than 27. The female lead, at 30, seemed so much younger. The most frustrating part of the book was its contrariness in relations that I could not find believable (in a work of fiction, yeah). Otherwise a good read although I've read titles from this author which were shorter and actually had a whole heap of things to say.

Such a very real story. It was sad reading this, knowing that stuff like this happens in real life. Loved the characters and the story.
