Nice review of things, but mostly feels like Foucault-lite. Highly accessible history of an interesting topic, but mostly seems like a review of other peoples work, which might just be the point. Was not my favorite set-up for references, either. The writing is very well organized and it presents its idea well. I could see assigning this or parts of this to students in the future.
