I really loved this book except for one thing - it was too short but then all of the Harlequin Nocturne books are way too short. Very alpha male werewolf who needs to be taken down a peg or two by the woman he loves and then when he gets the girl he has the nerve to left half of himself want to throw her away when things happen that are beyond her control which in fact make it so that he could spend the rest of the 200+ year lifespan he has left. This is definitely not one of Michele Hauf's better books. I had read the series out of order starting with Her Vampire Husband and then read book 1. After enjoying both of those immensely, I was looking forward to finding out what the deal was with Severo. Instead I found a weak plot, poorly developed characters, and way too much cave man mentality. I'm certainly glad this was not the first book I had read by this author or I don't think I would pick up another book by her.

Belladonna is running from three vampires and gets help from a werewolf. Severo saves her from being attacked but when he gets a whiff of her scent realizes that she is his mate. For some reason the vampires seem intent on getting to Belladonna. When they get to her and turn her into a vampire, Severo has to decide if he wants a mate that has taken the form of his hated enemy.

I knew this book was going to have a lot more romance than action before I started it, so I was prepared. Sometimes I don't want all the romance but I was in that kind of mood now. It had a good twist in it and it had characters from Michele's other books that I thought were cool. Good romance read.

Wasn't bad, at all. You could tell what was going to happen by reading the back though, very predictable.

Very interesting story about how love conquers all even in the paranormal realm even when facing challenges & changes... Very good : ) & recommended read :)
Finished this book yesterday!! I absolutely loved the romance between Bella & Severo!!! Love vampires and werewolves!!!:-)
This book is ok. I enjoyed the first 2/3rds of the book more than the last third.
Enjoyed this book love the way the main characters relationship developed over time.
