This book is one that is impossible to put down once you pick it up. The journey that William Reyner and his friends go on in order to discover the gold is one that is thoroughly enthralling. The murder mystery that is central to the storyline keeps the readers interest to the final page, although the murderer is at times a bit obvious the reader becomes more interested in the details of how the murders have been carried out as opposed to who has committed the crime.
